The Dexter Trinity Killer spin-off has gotten a big update from showrunner Clyde Phillips, but it sounds like the show is still a ways off.

During a panel at CCXP Mexico (via Reddit user TheSystolicGem), Dexter showrunner Clyde Phillips confirmed that all ten episodes of the Trinity Killer have been written, but they have yet to be given a greenlight to go into production. The team behind the show is hopeful they will be greenlit, but it’s unclear what exactly will allow that to happen.

As staggering as that sentence reads even to me, dear readers, what’s next may knock you over (or send your phone flying across the room): “Dexter: Resurrection” may actually be… good?

Don't play with my heart like this! I hope it's true, though. I think Original Sin managed to win back some goodwill among fans, myself included, not to mention sticking the landing at the season finale. Hopefully this maintains the momentum. But sheesh! I didn't realize the premiere was this week! I must not have been paying attention because I assumed that this would drop sometime in the fall!

Well, I guess I know what I'm watching tomorrow.

Solid first episode and nice to see the continuity from both New Blood and even Original Sin carry into this. I was very pleased

to see Eli Sherman and Xander Mateo briefly back as young Dexter and Brian. It's a small thing and doesn't matter much even if you didn't see Original Sin, but the nod to that show was nice.

Hope this keeps the goodwill that Original Sin started.

She's very Sherlockian, which makes her a great antagonist for the Morgans. And despite her lack of "people skills" she realizes what Harrison did was necessary.

Fun Factoid: I had to look up "Justified Homicide". first time I actually heard "In Self Defense" described that way. And according to the law Harrison's action was protecting his life and Shaunas falls under that.
