Dexter

This is my prediction of the ending based purely on the previews (Which Showtime is usually good at making them misleading so I could be way off)

Seasons 1 and 2 ended with a little bookend where Dexter kills the antagonist of the season. I think Sunday's episode will end like that, in that parking lot scene (from the preview), where we catch up with Trinity and Dexter comes up behind him with the needle. He may stick him or not, I dunno, but then the security guards stop Dexter. And the final scene is Dexter being arrested with Arthur either looking on or unconscious, but alive.

I kind of think the Trinity case is officially closed. It would be dumb for Arthur to try to pin it on Dexter when the police feel like they have their man. Why would he risk having them question their decision?

I think what could happen is that Dexter is caught in the act trying to either take or kill Trinity and has no way to explain who he is without completely incriminating himself.
Meh, there's always self-defense provided they don't catch him with Trinity actually on his table or his pieces in his trunk or whatever. People are not inclined to just believe others are serial killers at the drop of a hat. Trinity himself didn't make the connection to Dexter being a fellow killer even after the Thanksgiving incident.

If they catch him with the syringe I think it'd be hard to argue self defense.

Well, there's obviously gotta be some kind of out for Dexter, since I doubt they're going to change the formula next season to "Forget about the Dark Passenger and trying to deal with his feelings, Dexter's ON THE RUN!!!" I guess we'll have to wait and see.

No one has any real idea about Dexter. Arthur doesn't know anything about his murders, he just thinks he's a crooked member of the police department. Unless Dex is caught actually killing Arthur, it wouldn't really get him in any crazy serious trouble, maybe assault or harassment or something. Leaving Arthur alive and having the police department aware that Dexter has attacked him, would make an interesting twist.

I guess assault with a syringe full of chemicals wouldn't be too out-of-the-ordinary for a lab geek, if a lab geek were going to commit assault at all.

I'm now left to wonder once Arthur finds out that his daughter is dead - will he blame Dexter for this?

if so, will he then want Dexter to suffer a similar fate by having a loved one die?

I'm now convinced Arthur will be involved in the death of a main character which will change the show heading into season 5.

Arthur could barely pretend to love her when they were together. He told her he was sorry she was ever born in the last episode.

I don't think her death will effect him very much, if at all.

I thought that too at first. But he's a real loose canon and it would be slightly ironic that he cares for her now that she is dead but couldn't when she was alive (and trying hard to impress).

No to mention Aruthur still needs a strong reason to continue hunting Dex to keep the episode tense.

Btw, i have a question; did Trinity's daughter know that her Dads name was Arthur? Cause when Deb told her that they have him, and named the guy Dex had framed, she kinda laughed it off (the daughter) as if she knew they had the wrong person...?
that's what she did, she new Arthur was his name but even though the dad hated her, she still loved him and that's why she didn't rat him out

For some reason after Dex punched Elliott the shot of the refrigerator with the pictures of Cody seems poignant to me after him and Rita had that little moment. Something bad is gonna happen to Deb, Rita, and or Cody. Also would anyone be totally shocked if Lundy somehow didn't die and he came back and had a hand in capturing Dexter or Trinity?

I'm assuming from the previews that the cops get Arthur on the kids that he kidnapped and buried

Lundy's dead. Undoing that would cheapen so much of this season that it makes my brain hurt.

Unless the show suddenly becomes Dexter on the run from the living dead. lol

You're lucky that's how I've been watching Dexter.:csad:

Really? Hmmm....I am able to watch Dexter the very night it is shown and in Hi-def quality.

I go to tvripple.com find the episode and click on Watch In Divxden and viola.

Everyone who's going crazy over this season comparing it to 1 and 2 need to shut up. Until episode 9 this season was madly inconsistent. The last few episodes put the quality up there with the first two seasons but overall it hasn't been solid from start to finish.

uh yeah...anyways...

Always great news to hear that genuinely amazing shows like Dexter are finding success.

its a damn shame the emmys have come...MCH, Lithgow, and the series in general all deserve one.

That's true. Dexter pinned the trinity killings on that trucker, but the police have no idea about the little boys. They were excavating one in the preview.

I beginning to think that the cliffhanger just might be Deb figuring out what Dexter is.

oops i meant to say emmys HAVENT come, my bad im sure yall understood though... i mean its a freaking crime....sure house is good, but he aint that good.

in the preview, i wonder why arthur is telling his family to give him all their money/jewelry.

That's your opinion...and I trust you can appreciate ours that believe this is one of the better seasons.

It's one of the better seasons going into the finale. Don't sit there and be all "well, it's your opinion:woot:" cause I really don't care.
