Dexter

Well, maybe the Mitchell's were covering for Dexter/Kyle. They mentioned that each of them gave different descriptions.

The grandparents are Paul's parents. I don't think we've ever seen Rita's father, but her mother was staying with her for a while...and that lady was a pain.

I enjoyed how the episode ended, too. The revelation that Dex's radar for his prey is still good was nice. Astor and Cody will probably be back, eventually. But I don't know how Dexter could balance being single father of three with his day job and his night job...

Based on how Paul turned out, raping and beating Rita multiple times, his parents may not be the best people to raise Astor and Cody. But maybe his problems were mostly a result of the drug use.

I'm pretty sure the grandparents will be fine. I don't think we're supposed to think about Astor and Cody for now - and can assume this is their "happy ending" I guess.

Wait...so we won't see them again this season? I'm sure they'll be back. The moving was temporary, right?

I'm simply assuming we won't - I could be very wrong though.

I assume it's temporary. Astor seems to need the time away, because she blames Dexter entirely for what happened. Rita's death is still very fresh on the show. She's been dead at most a week, maybe two. Maybe once Astor gets over the wounds that are still raw, she could be willing to come back to live with Dexter.

But, they'll always be connected to Dexter no matter what because they've got a little brother in Harrison. I assume that even if the move is permanent, they'll stop by for cameos to visit little Harry.

And I think I remember Rita saying it was the drugs that pretty much damaged Paul. Of course, I think that's just an excuse the bastard probably used for beating and raping her over and over...but yeah, you'd have to wonder how well a job those grandparents will do compared to how well Dexter could probably raise them with Deb.

I'm pretty sure he's going Lone Wolf from now on. I can't see him getting lucky again and finding a woman like Rita, and settling down for real like he did with her.

I love how kind, loving grandparents who raised a guy who ultimately became a drug addict and all-around a**hole after he'd reached adulthood and was fully responsible for his own actions are somehow being unfavorably compared as parents to a man who fights the urge to murder people every day. We Dexter fans have a skewed sense of reality, I think. :funny:

Paul was a little more than just a drug addict, though. Not worthy of being thrown on the table, but almost so.

I think they'd be better off with Dexter and Deb. They'd have a father in Dex, like always, and be grow up with Harry. Dexter really hides his dark side well, with Astor and Cody especially. He's probably as externally human, expressive and not entirely pretending, with them as with anyone else.

Dexter will be the homely type and Deb can balance things out with her fondess for beer and mastery of saying ****. Those kids would turn out to be down to earth, with those two.

You do have to wonder about those grandparents, though...

Every man that Deb ends up sleeping with, ends up either dead, or in the case of Atwon, just getting F'ed up some kinda way, so i think we can say goodbye to Quinn this season!

wrong children's book author season 2

I think you're right. With Rita gone, the kids don't really serve much of a purpose in the show. I think this is the writer's way of removing them from Dexter's life. They'll probably pop up once and a while, but I don't think Dexter will be they're father anymore. Maybe Harrison though.

Didn't he get ****ed over, though? I don't remember if she left him on bad terms.

Debra is a man-eater. She's kinda mind****ing Quinn a bit, too. If Quinn wasn't so cool about it, he'd be a mess with the mixed signals she's been sending him.

Well her sister-in-law just died and the kids and Dexter moved in with her. Who wouldn't be a little ****ed up that. I don't blame her...this time.

Yeah, the fact that Quinn is taking Deb's drama in stride is improving my opinion of him. :)

I blame Deb's issues on unresolved Daddy drama she has because Herry spent all that time with Dex and none with her.

Yeah, it's definitely that. She's got a ton of daddy issues with Harry, because of all the focus he put on Dexter.

I mean, ultimately the sacrifice was worth it in taming Dexter...but Debra is one screwed up chick because of it.

So is everyone Excited for Julia Stiles first appearance as Lumen tomorrow night?

Shes a tolerable actress. Much more so than Kirsten Dunst, I dunno why but those 2 have always reminded of each other

Same hair? lol

I'm looking forward to seeing what she brings to the table (literally?)

Whether she'll be any good or not, remains to be seen. It's just a little hard to compete with total greatness like John Lithgow.

Hahaha I cant believe nobody has mentioned Masukas EPIC Adam Sandler reference in this past ep "Oh **** me up the goatass!" Hahaha that had me on the floor man
