All Dex would really have to say is that he was distraught after Deb and Lundy were shot and that he didnt think it was the Vacation Killers and that he didnt think anyone would believe him so he decided to do some of his own investigating. Wouldnt be too hard to cover your tracks on that one course hed still need to explain how he figured out Arthur was Trinity

It's all over the IMDB boards. Basically, something got out that Rita will get in a car accident and the other driver will be pissed and kill her, right in front of her kids. This is supported by a character called "angry driver" listed in the last episode's credits. Also, that same actor's face was posted on Benz's twitter, and she added the caption "remember this face" or something important like that.

I just think Arthur covers his steps so well he's not afraid of passing along something that was used for a murder. It showed him cleaning it off pretty well.

Also, if he framed others like you suggested he just did with Dexter, then there would be multiple people reporting that they were framed, and that the same man all gave them the suspected murder weapon.

Thats exactly what needs to happen to Trinity. I really really do not want him to die at the end of the season. I want him to get busted and be put on trial and everything. Just like with BTK anyone ever see his confessions?? They are truly horrifying how casual he talks about the killings. Way I see it they need to break the mold this season and Trinity surviving would be a good twist. Plus wouldnt it be great if Trinity learns who Dexter is then gets busted and decides not to rat out Dexter because he understands that what Dexter does is a nessecary evil? It would be truly great to every now and then see Dex go visit an incarcerated Trinity like they are old friends or something.

That would be cool, a bit of a Hannibal Lecter vibe going with that idea = me like.

The only problem is, Dexter would most likely be questioned why he is visiting a mass murderer so often...especially as he is trying to play the under the radar life style.

could this introduce the storyline of one of the kids having a dark passenger and Dexter trains him/her?

I loved that part too. I wonder if he'll ever slip up and say what he was actually thinking?

After seeing Julie Benz play Darla, I can see her being a blood covered Evil-Psycho on Dexter's level. Maybe in a dream sequence, cause the character of Rita is pretty much normal.

She is pretty annoying in a way, seeing her kill people near vio-orgasmicly like she did as Darla may freak some people out. I'd like to see it, but I doubt if it's gonna happen.

Yes he would have the kids to look after, but he wouldn't have the ying for his yang that pulls him into line (like any good wife would).

Yes, she can be a little annoying, but I think Rita would be missed.

how is he going to find out about Dexter ? Trinity kills innocent people , that's like saying what if the skinner accepts Dexter for doing what he does, makes no sense at all. He killed his own brother for christ sakes and him visiting Trinity wtf you guys come up with some weird **** sometimes

Works fine for me. Trinity's kept from getting caught for 30 years because he was careful and made sure no one knew his face or would suspect him. Dexter already knows who he is and suspects him, so that's like 90% of the battle won right there. Plus, the killers on the show are all predators; they stalk their prey and assume that the only people who might be stalking them are doing so within the confines of the laws that normal people follow. They're pretty unguarded against other killers using their own killer methods. Look at how easily the Skinner got Dexter last season. Only reason Dexter got out of that alive is because he was strong enough to overpower the Skinner. Not much chance of the 60-something Trinity doing the same to Dexter if it comes down to that.

dexter is meant to be seen as the greatest serial killer ever. thats part of the story showtime is going for... good guy...catches bad guys...but is also the best monster out there. he sees trinity as challenging. he lives for the hunt just like lundy... but once again...it shows dex is even better than lundy.

Trinity will be the toughest he's ever faced, bastard has killed way too many people. I wonder if they will ever change the location of the show i was thinking he can move to LA where there's a **** load of crime but then we probably wouldn't get to see the the people he works with like the funny asian dude, laguerta, Angel...

Dexter would become more hellbent in his "purpose" if he is left to take care of the kids alone. It would be really, really difficult to write around that, but with his affection for kids in general, and with no one to watch them but himself....I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if he creates a small unstoppable army out of all that.

I guess if the writers are going to kill off Rita, then I'll get behind them. I trust they know what they're doing.

And the more I think about it, as much as I'd hate to see Julie Benz off my tv, it would give Dexter a new and fresh creative direction to head into.

Julie Benz was getting rather attractive last season. I don't what happened, but Im not nearly as attracted to her this season, if at all. I wasn't prior to season 3 either. She just had a good run I guess.
