To Think we all thought that the twist or surprise ending was Rita Dying. While it really was Harrison reliving the same scene Dexter lived when he was an infant

Any chance that it wasn't Arthur? What if it was Quinn trying to send a threat to Dexter and using Trinity's M.O. to cover his ass? Its something Dexter's done before.
No way. This was truly Arthur's parting gift with Dex.

Ok maybe I missed something but in the synopsis for this episode it stated "Angel and Laguerta will have to answer for their breach of ethics" I didnt see that mentioned one single time. I was kinda baked though so if this was mentioned, somebody refresh my memory

Dexter was a little bit older though. He was what 3 when it happened.

Plus, it really won't have the same affect on Harrison as it did on Dexter. The baby is far too young to be traumatized in any serious way.
That said...RIDICULOUS ending. This episode proved why Dexter is one of the top shows on TV.

Lithgow said it was him, in the aftershow interview

I dont think he has it in him to do that. Or the intelligence to pull it off. Hes actually kinda dumb at least imo
To me, Quinn is a good cop (saying this, haven't seeing the recent episode.), I don't think it's in him to be a bad guy. Other than the cash from that one episode.

We'll never know for sure what impact it has on Harrison unless they skip a few years between seasons 4 & 5. I think the greater impact going forward will be Dexter's cupability in Rita's death and his feelings of guilt. If he would have taken care of Arthur earlier or if he would have allowed law-enforcement to do their job, Rita would be alive. And he wouldnt have to worry about Harrison's future.

I actually told my wife the same thing and she doesn't think it's possible.

Lithgow said it was him after the show was over when MCH and lithgow had a 1 on 1 interview

Rejoice, that makes me so happy. I hated the character, so I'm excessively happy that she's gone.

Wow what a finale. I'm still in awe of the writers and actors on this show. I hope they get rewarded come award season.

next season, no matter where they take it, will pack a tremendous emotional punch. Three kids just lost their mother, and Dexter lost a wife. I can't imagine how they will play the show out from here

I hope they do something similiar to season 1 and 2 and seperate the finale and premiere by only a matter of weeks (if not in this case days).

not to mention how suspicious Debra will be of Dexter now knowing what she knows

definitely was trinity, lithgow confirmed it.....BUT.....this isnt trinitys way....trinity makes mothers jump to their death...and does the whole bathtub thing to younger girls...

Just got done with it on DVR and can't sleep. lol. I feel so sad for Dexter. I liked Rita and thought she was great on the show. I'm looking forward to next season but I feel like the show lost something tonight that can't be replaced. Very good season and it has made me feel how they wanted it to.

Wow, what a show. I'm still in awe and trying to process the ending.

It makes me uncomfortable just to imagine Trinity killing Rita and leaving Harrison there.

why would she need a passport for the keys?

what?

haha im lost now...but seriously, you dont need a passport to get the the Florida Keys... ive been there. so, she came back for a passport?

We're going to see a much more resentful and careful Dexter next season. He's seen now what could happen with his lifestyle, and he most definitely blames himself for
Rita's death.
Things are going to get very interesting.
BUT, we will get to have some great comedy opportunities for next season! Dexter Morgan: Single Dad! Deb will most certainly be taking a more motherly role.

whatever she came back for..haha. I know you don't need a passport, I didn't put attention where she was heading to in the first place. Anyway.....
