Quinn's constant hounding on Dexter about cheating on Rita might be interesting next season.

They will wonder where Dexter was when Rita was killed. Quinn will probably think he was with another woman.

Too many loose ends. Aurthur's family isn't going to keep quiet about Kyle Butler. Quinn is bound to suspect Dexter for Rita's murder. Is it better for Dexter to cover up Rita's murder or to call it in? Either way there are going to be a lot of questions. And Dexter doesn't have an alibi (that's living anyway). Season 4 is going to be difficult to top villain-wise.

I was thinking the same thing; but not cover it it up per say, just clean up the scene so it doesn't look like it's linked to another Trinity killing. He doesn't need the FBI digging around him.....plus i liked what someone else had mention; next season have Quinn thinking that Dex had actually done the deed, and going after him for it. He already gives him **** about cheating and whatnot.....

How boring would that be?!?! (the answer: EXTREMELY!:cmad:)

Too much has been built out of Harry's code for Dexter to abandon his usual M.O. He has to confront them with their crimes, and leave them with the fact that they couldn't escape their crimes.

Besides, nothing can top the visceral feeling when he stabs 'em with a big-ass knife. He clearly loves the butchery part of the kill as much as the kill itself.

Well, he'd get over it, obviously. I'm just saying, his wife was murdered because he took too many damn liberties stalking the last guy. Naturally, he's gonna want to avoid that scenario from ever happening again. But, of course it won't be very fulfilling...

i want dex and quinn to become friends, actually....i think ritas death is going to get quinn to feel bad for him, especially since quinn just lost his woman too.

adding to that, in dexter terms, a friend like batista is a friend, not like miguel.

That would be nice. I really don't want some cheap Doakes 2.0. I liked when he and Quinn seemed to get along just for that little bit in Season 3 at the bachelor party.

I'm wondering how Dex is going to handle raising the kids alone. He's completely unprepared for handling them as they grow up, and when is he going to find the time to hunt?

Even if Deb moves in to help, she'd get suspicious of him always 'working' late.

I guess the grandparents could move in, take the kids, or something.

Guys, I think Rita killed herself. It doesn't fit Trinity's mo because Rita is a mother, not a single woman, single women are the ones that are killed in the tub, and a mother falls from a highstory to her death.

Trinity just wanted revenge for Dexter ****ing up his escape plans. Watch the scene again when he tells Dexter "It's over", he knew and did all but actually admitted it.

If you watched the interviews after with Michael C. Hall and John Lithgow,
Lithgow even says that Trinity killed Rita and that was foreshadowed in Trinity's death scene.

Lithgow, MCH, and the show creator all confirmed it.

LOL!

Yeah, it doesn't fit Trinity's cycle. But it's more likely that a woman with no reason to commit suicide would kill herself in the tub with her newborn son watching... right on!

Some wacky theories flying around loL! It was so clear cut obvious I'm surprised there's any speculation.

If her time of death is confirmed as anywhere close to when Dexter was with Trinity's family when the police busted in, Dexter would be off the hook. She died sometime after Dex left the house in the morning and before he left Trinity's house in the afternoon/evening to follow him. I don't think there will be that many questions about where he was.

I think it's annoying having to go through every single spoilered post just to get some info lol

All the plot holes I've mentioned have their merits and in the end kinda cap off how lazily this season has been written as compared to the others. The finale didn't get good until the end obviously and having Rita die just proves Harry and Trinity right. Dexter can't live his lie without hurting those close to him and it hit home in a big way. The scene with Dexter arguing with the Dark Passenger is a sign of things to come. I expect a lot of conflict with himself next season on how to change, because change is coming.

If it hadn't already been used in a big budget flick, "times they are a changin" would be an awesome song to intro us into season 5 of Dexter.

Or at the end of season 4.

Damn Dexter's gonna be a mess next season. It's gonna be so different. I hope he'll start killing more to blow off steam. Not enough killing dudes this season heh.

If this season is not nominated for Best Drama series, and Supporting Actor, i stop watching the globes!

no grand parents I hope: he's on his way to becoming Harry

Well deserved, well deserved. This is easily one of the best shows on television.

I hope Lithgow wins for Supporting Actor. Michael C. Hall deserves the Best Actor award every season though.

Lithgow's got this. Performance of his career. And one of the best villains of all time.

To be honest,my biggest gripe was and still is 10 hours after i've seen it...the fact that i was certain that she was going to die.The whole episode i was noticing stuff that i usually wouldn't and was constantly hoping that the ending would be something else...Deb dying,Dexter is a distant cousin of Count Dracula,whatever...and when it happened i was so disappointed by the fact that i knew the ''shocking'' ending from the get go.

I whole-heartedly envy everyone that was surprised by the end...that had to be a terrifying and unexpected moment.

I hate spoilers more than anything...i still can't forgive myself for finding that Two-Face dies in TDK...in a thread about Dave Letterman 20 days before the movie.Same story here :csad::csad::csad:

At least you didn't hear Bruce Willis was actually a dead guy in the Sixth Sense before seeing the movie like I did! hahaha

and I'm glad somebody realized that Dex can't say he was "undercover" because he's not a freakin' detective!
Finale was okay, pretty ultimate get-back in Trinitys case. It's all a little crazy.. Definitely some questions that hopefully will be answered next season.

What everyone else all ready said, plus, you're forgetting that Trinity killed Kyle Butler (a real one :awesome:) earlier in the season, a kill which did not fit his cycle.
