I would just like to point out that the "big bad" of season 2 was Lila, not Doakes or Dexter.

Also, I personally was not a fan of season 3 because I never believed there was never any real threat to Dexter. Truthfully I don't think the writers had a clear enough idea of what they wanted to do with Miguel or The Skinner so the story just meandered along for the entire season. It's a shame really because Dexter having a friend and apprentice is a storyline with a lot of potential.

Yeah my only problem with season 3 was that it just bored me. I didn't hate it. I just couldn't really be bothered with it.

You're entitled to your opinion, but honestly I think you're wrong. The show has a number of conventions surrounding the primary antagonist each year and Lila was the only character in season 2 to adhere to them.

but IMO the only seasons with one blatantly obvious antagonist are 1 and 4. both seasons 2 and 3 had atleast 2, which is why i hate this whole 'we are changing the formula this year'. s*** the formula has been different each season. maybe its the new 24 guy they got to replace clyde phillips, bc im quite sure ever year they said 24 is done in a diff type of formula this year.

Agreed. She's the reason I rank season 2 at the bottom. I liked her character when it was introduced, but hated her more and more, and not in a good way. It was very satisfying when Dexter caught up with her in the end though.

Doesn't the first episode usually leak around late August/early September? I remember watching the season 4 premiere around late August last year.

well normallly between july - early sept....season 1 and 2 leaked in mid july...season 3 was i think mid august...then yea i remember season 4 being alotcloser to the premiere.

maybe it was clyde phillips haha

The end of that trailer makes me wonder what's going to happen to Dexter this season.
