another great episode! Laguerta is a *****

i remember having my doubts about Dexter and Luman in the beginning of the season, but i am loving the relationship they have been forming

things just got a whole lot more interesting at the end of the episode with Murphy spying on Dex and Luman on the boat :word:

Man this was CRAZY!

Laguerta finally showed her true colours...and I really like this juicy storyline.

Robocop finally did what nobody else could. He has Dexter hook, line and sinker.

I know. So friggn insane. I really look forward to how this escalates with robocop. Also I am so glad laguerta has stopped dragging angel (who used to be one of my favorite characters up until this season started) into the mud and he's finally coming to his senses. What ever happens I hope laguerta is out this season. Angel can be Lt. ;D

That was probably the most intense death scene on the show. Having Lumen there gave it so much weight and reality. Very nice.

Completely agree. It felt nothing like when Miguel was with dexter. This felt so much better. the chemistry between Lumen and Dexter is great.

Really liked Debs little scene with Dexter in the kitchen about people who deserve not to live. Almost like a buildup to when she finds out and accepts and understands why he does what he does.

Yeah, I had a feeling thats where they were gonna go when she killed that guy last episode. I really loved that scene.

I will be a very happy camper if Laguerta leaves this season.

It'd be nice to see the season 1 Batista back on the show.

So if Dexter finds out that Peter Weller is photographing him and decides to chop him up, is it conceivable that Miami PD can put him back together like a cyborg?

ok seriously, this was a fantastic episode.

This has to be one of the funniest, most ironic posts I have ever read. I'm sure those who have read the books know why!

I loved the episode the season is finally setting itself up for the finale. Can't wait to see where this is going.
I hope Lumen is back next season - I really hope she doesn't die.

Also next week looks off the hook! Quinn is going to come to his senses and become all right - didn't like him at the start of this season, he is slowly growing on me.
Wonder who is breaking in? Being called 'Teenage Wasteland' maybe it's some runaways kids wanting to live there, who knows... one of the intruders looked like a woman (long hair).

Can't wait!

Great episode last night

and IM not usually one to care about "shipping" but I hope Lumen and Dexter get together. They need each other it seems

I too hope Lumen stays on the show, although Im sure I wont have such luck :(

Great ep. I was hoping they'd torture Cole a bit more for the identity of the other men...

I hope Laguertta get's it this season. She's gone from bad to worst. It's like the writers don't know what to do with her.

I predict robocop is the one breaking into the house in the preview, and Luman kills him (or they both die in the struggle); but then again, maybe it's Quinn that's snooping after Luman...

Agree 100%

And still ,yet another ep..and no Harry....

Lumen is in it till the last episode - she has 10 episodes this season and she has been in it since the 3rd episode. Plus Peter Weller has got an 8 episode contract and has been in it since the 5th. So both Lumen and Weller's character are in it till the end.

Kill Laquerta now...

I could see this season having some nice new stories.

Deb understanding Dexter, Quinn in love with Deb and also understand Dexter's passion and Batista getting his balls back with Laquenta being forced to turn in her badge for being a c-word.

I am continually amazed how this show keeps one-upping itself. At the start of this season my feeling was that with Rita gone, the show would lose its way and never be the same again....DAMN was I wrong!

I am loving Dexter and Lumen's relationship. When Dexter completely revealed himself to Lumen, you could see both the fear and admiration she has for Dexter. For a second i thought Lumen was gonna be like "motherf***er your insane!!", but she seemed to completely understand and accept Dexter for what he was. Its nice seeing two damaged characters complement each other in such a way. Rita was damaged but not nearly as damaged as Lumen. She could be what Dex has needed all along.

I want Dexter and Lumen to DO IT!

I don't think they need to DO IT! Rita and Dex didn't do it for a long time, due to Rita's past, and Dex didn't seem to mind. He strikes me as the kinda person that doesn't really need sex; he gets off...other ways! Besides, they have such a connection outside of the physical that they're doing it mentally/emotionally all the time. It's rare that you find two actors that believably make the audience believe they have a connection; Hall and Stiles have pulled this off marvelously this season.

As far as Deb finding out Dex's secret. I can't see her keeping it to herself. She strikes me as the kinda cop who would turn him in, but swear she'd do all and anything in her power to help him get through it....

...and assume that Dex stuck Lumen with the M9 traq, which is why she slept...finally?

Why must they always do this? Uneventful first 6 episodes? Then just go and curb-stomp your brain.

I dont think so because it was still there when Cole attacked her. She tried to use it on him to defend herself.

Also when watching the preview it looked like one of the shadows had long-ish hair. So i think it might be Deb and Quinn but I dont know.

I doubt Deb would turn dexter in, especially after the conversation they had. it definitely seems like the writers are trying to lead up to where it'll be okay for Deb to know, be okay with it, and for it to make sense character wise.

That was many hours after she had slept. I'm sure he carry's around a vile of it, just incase he needs a refill for unforeseen circumstances.

She was cringed up in fear after dexter left Cole's room, he had the M9 in his hand. Then all of a sudden she was waking up after hours of sleep. She was surprised at how well, and long she had slept, and Dexter had a little smirk on his face..as if he didn't want to tell her......look at the scene again. It was subtle, but there.....

???

No.

And even if he did, it wouldn't be restful sleep.

Why wouldn't it be? It a traq.

Incredible episode. So many jaw-dropping moments. This is perhaps the most emotional and open we've ever seen Dexter. Seeing him near tears when telling Lumen it wasn't too late for her to walk away and have a normal life was surprisingly moving. And I've found myself totally drawn in and invested in this relationship between Dexter and Lumen. I really want her to accept him and for them to be partners... even though deep down I suspect Lumen, one way or another, won't last beyond this season.

The dynamics between Dexter and Jordan Chase were also really fascinating in this episode. Chase has taken a real interest in Dexter, and we arguably haven't seen anyone systematically break down Dexter and get inside his head the way Chase did onstage during the seminar. Despite the inevitable post-Trinity slump in the villain department, Chase is emerging as a surprisingly compelling threat.

But is Chase really the Big Bad? I actually don't think so. There is still the mysterious, unidentified person in the photograph to consider. Could they be the true mastermind of all this, whoever they are? And I actually wouldn't be surprised if Chase is dispatched and the whole "Get revenge on the rape/torture/murder gang" storyline is wrapped up before season's end, and the REAL climactic season arc emerges as Quinn and Liddy's investigation into Dexter coming perilously close to uncovering his true nature. I haven't been so genuinely shocked by an ending to Dexter since last season's finale.
