I cannot see Liddy dying in this episode. Dexter has to be made aware of Liddy for two reasons.

1) To move forward his story with Quinn.

which is why he has to die in episode 11, for dex and quinns relationship to start in eppy 12. It would only be a waste if written and done poorly,,,whcih right now, i am in full support.

Dexter finding out about Liddy (a man who has evidence of Dexter's crimes) and overcoming him in the course of an hour would be too much. Dexter still doesn't even know who the hell Liddy is. Not to mention, Liddy has done nothing to warrant the code being applied to him. Quinn killing him is something right out of a bad fan fiction. Chase killing him is a stretch. If anyone else kills him (such as Lumen) then they have violated Harry's code and need to be put on the table (unless its accidential and Lumen accidentially killing Liddy without Dexter ever confronting the man who has essentially caught him is anti-climactic). Liddy's resolution warrants two episodes. Dexter needs to find out what Liddy knows in this episode, and resolve it in the finale.

Chase on the other hand, has had his story told. He and Dexter are squaring off at this point. That is a story than can be ended with no further development. Liddy is not. That is why Chase, not Liddy, will die.

Forgive me if I'm wrong on this, but isn't Weller contracted until the season finale? I'd have my doubts about him dying before the season finale, there's still plenty of story to tell with him, whereas Chase's story seems to be coming to some kind of endgame, considering all his cronies are gone and he's the only target left, that could probably now be resolved in one episode

Yeah he is contracted till the final episode.

I think the two to be kidnapped will be Astor and Cody, that is my prediction.

Is Peter Weller busy? How about John Lithgow? I don't know why big actors don't bother to stick around, but I don't think it's because of their otherwise overwhelming workload. Maybe their salaries are too high to keep on for more than one season at a time or something.

Lithgow's character was never supposed to survive passed one season... Come on his charactre was a serial Killer and Dexter is killing serial killers...
Anyway "big names" actors don't stick for a long time on Dexter, because most of the characters they portray doesn't suppose to be a big part of the show.

Anyway a question... Why did Jordan called Deb when he saw Dex&Lumen breaking into Alex Tilden's house? Did he hoped Deb and Quinn will cought them in the act?

Actually not true. In an interview Lithgow said there was a huge fight in the writing room as to whether to keep Trinity alive for the first few episodes of this season.

Well, I was wrong. Kinda disappointed, to be honest. I liked the Liddy character. I feel like his death was too sudden. Five minutes after he and Dexter first meet, he is dead. Wasted potential, IMO.

great episode! although it looks like it is being set up so that Lumen takes the fall. i hope at least Deb or Quinn find out about Dexter. kind of sucks that Robocop died too soon because i was hoping for much more dramatic confrontation between him, Quinn, and Dexter.

I was slightly disappoitned with Liddy's quick disposal but I suppose it was necessary. But DAAAAYUM, the **** is hitting the fan! Another great episode. Jordan Chase is evil! And whats going to become of the blood stain on Quinn's shoe? AND are the previews for next week misleading us? Will Deb find out?
