Dexter

My point is, if Dexter was a real life vigilante living today, where just about everyone and their grandmother has a cell cam, he'd be way more cautious than he is about covering up his face.

My quesion now is, when did Travis have time to kill the Prof? He couldn't have done it while Dex was in the elevator...or maybe he just knocked him out, dragged him somewhere, and came back after Dex dropped him off at the hotel....

He had to have time to mess up the elevator attack and hide the prof, and break dex out. He better be working with someone or that makes no sense

Captain BluTac, I am pretty sure Golgo is talking about Professor Casey

i think i heard somewhere that travis is working with
some new woman, gellars old assistant/lover is my guess...she randomly just happened to have all of gellars stuff and have it sitting in the living room?

The last ten minutes were laughable. And the elevator scene wasn't much better.

Oh Dexter, what has become of you this season? :(

Part of me feels like the intern might be biologically related to Dexter and or Brian somehow, which explains his fascination with Dex and the ITK. Hmmm

... Pretty sure Gellar has been dead the whole time Golgo.

I know Gellars been dead for some time. I'm talking about the Prof Travis killed this ep..can't think of his name. The one whose's hand was cut off....

The "Gellar is in Travis' head" twist was sooooooo obvious, I was guessing it from the second episode. And I know I'm far from the only one. It was so telegraphed, and so many people had seen it coming from a mile away, that it would have been a much more shocking twist if there actually was a Gellar.

For me, that has sucked out any intrigue in Dexter's hunt for Gellar this season. What I'm much more interested in is the moral dilemna of whether or not Dexter can kill Travis. Because Travis is an "innocent", he doesn't know he's killing all these people. So can Dexter truly justify killing him under his code?

Yes, he most certainly can. He's killed people that have been outside the code before.

Well that "twist" was pretty obvious. I was hoping Gellar was real so we could see an actual physical fight. Right now, the only storylines I'm interested in are the intern and his obsession with Dexter and Debra and her psych appointments. I feel like this is the season where Debra will connect the dots about Dexter's secret. If this plot goes nowhere, I will be really disappointed.

Here are my thoughts.....

This season is about Dexter getting rid of the Dark Passenger.... his Dark Passenger isn't Brian, some mysterious figure, or even Batman..... it's Harry. That's right, Dexter is going to see himself in Travis.

The problem with this season is that they didn't do a good job at concealing Geller's non-existance. I'm a movie buff, so are you guys maybe, we all are smart in figureing out stuff and catching the clues.

These clues:
- We start to see Harry and Brian interacting w/ objects, more than usual.....
- The whole episode of Brian and Dexter is one ****ing clue, big clue.
- Geller not interacting with anybody
- The camera angles and how Geller convinently hides from Dexter's view

I mean, they didn't do a good job in concealing it. Fight Club was a great example.

ONE THING I'M HAPPY ABOUT, that they reveal Geller on the 9th episode, and not the season finale or the episode before the season finale. So we have 3 solid episode hopefully w/ Dexter knowing

what i love about this season is it has let the other characters shine imo

Deb especially her character has really been fully fleshed out this season

quinn has also been fun to watch

i'd watch a cop show "The Adventures of Quinn and Batista"

The whole thing of Travis being an innocent seems to be going out the window since it appears hes gonna find out Gellar isn't actually real and that hes being doing everything himself. But hes gonna continue anyways so Dexter would have no problem of killing him.

I personally did not see this coming - I was just so angry that we never actually see Gellar doing anything that I thought the writers were just being lazy. This was a great twist (for me). I also feel like the intern has some sort of connection to Brian and/or Travis.

The connection to Brian is obvious - what the relation is I dunno. Perhaps he was his pupil or something or the son of one of the others who were killed along with Dex and Brian's mom.

In terms of Travis, consider the fact that he's getting away with a lot of this and how the cops are always a few steps behind, whereas usually by this point in the season, the cops would have practically been on the killer's front doorstep. Also think about how many times Travis has done something now with the M.O. of Brian.

Dexter will NEVER lose or get rid of his Dark Passenger. That has been a point in the books and the series. It is PERMANENT. he is damaged. the Dark Passenger is forever. the ending to this series will most likely be deb coming to fruition with Dexters darkness and either accepting or arresting it.

Course, the books also introduced Demon influences and Demi-gods...so...yeah...

On a side note though, I also anticipated the twist. However, I like it. It offers a nice moral dilemma for Dexter. How innocent is Travis when he honestly didn't know he was committing these crimes?

Also, the Laguerta cover up twist wasn't even a twist. People knew who she was covering up for from the time she started telling Deb to back off. It was so predictable.

Yeah I'm really dissapointed with the predictability this season. I mean, it's literally everything. Every 'twist' there is, you see coming a mile off and it's actually making the characters look kind of stupid for not figuring it out themselves.

I mean, why ISN'T Deb more suspicious that Laguerta is so desperate to close this case?

And why DIDN'T Dex consider the fact that Travis' Dark Passenger could be just as much within him as his is... that he might have an imaginary friend like he does... that he hadn't once seen the Gellar the entire time... that the time he spent in the elevator Travis had every opportunity to kill the atheist proffessor...

The only one i'm unsure about is the intern... but if he does turn out to be there long lost brother, this will officially become the worst season of dexter so far.

I miss Lumen :(

Because we are allowed to see other perspectives, you have to remember the characters do not get to watch like we do :)

All proof anyone has had pointed to 2 people performing these kills. Why would Dexter have suspected anything else, he has no knowledge pointing to the Fact Travis is crazy.
As for Deb, she has her boss telling her to drop the matter due to numbers and such. Nothing really suspicious about that. TO Deb it seems like Laguerta is just sticking her nose into her business trying to make herself look good.

look at it from their point of view not yours.

Glad the whole Gellar thing is over with, 'tis a shame that Edward James Olmos is wasted on a role like that.

I think that the writers are saving a bigger twist if they revealed with Gellar being real or not in the ninth episode instead of saving it later on, only lead has to be with Louis. Either he was an associate of Brian or some kind of a serial killer fanatic, maybe he has been keeping a tab on Dex? Could lead to some interesting outcomes.

One thing I don't get is Deb mentioning how they've been getting calls from multiple people saying they've seen Gellar walking around.

Because that is what people do.
Sometimes people look like other people.
Sometimes people just think they see someone (perhaps because they are scared or obsessed)

This type of thing happens all the time.

Calling ******** on anyone who says they had Gellar figured out by episode 2, and also I would like to see detailed season synapses from everyone complaining about this season. Otherwise please TFU, last time I checked NONE of you were employed by Showtime.
