Geez, some of these shows are getting out of hand with that stuff. :p
Jeez! What's the problem? Nudity & sex shouldn't be such taboo things!

Great 2 see Dex returning, I hope this Season will be better than the last one (which was really good, but not great to be honest).

Probably the best season opener since Season 2. Lightning pace, good introduction of new characters, and Dexter is back to himself.

Couldn't wait to watch it as I had to know if they showrunners managed to bounce back from the Season 5 letdown and IMO they did. I didn't really like S5 so this is a surprising return to form.

It was also darkly hilarious again. We didn't see any of that humour last season. Dexter [blackout]dancing[/blackout] was HILARIOUS.

wasnt much nudity. nothing different from the usual?

but...this premier was absolutely awesome. GREAT to see dexter going back to normal...even the creepy music is back
after the snakes come out of the stomach and Dex gets that look on his face....PRICELESS.

stoked for this season.

I don't really get all the hate for season 5. I have enjoyed all of the seasons, and the only character I would have gone without would have been Lila.

Either way, yeah was a great opener, excited for the rest.

I really liked season 5. The only disappointment was that they nicely set up Deb finding out what he does and then chickened out at the last second.

Alright so I'm just gonna say my theory once and you can laugh all you want...

Obviously one of the biggest emotional points of the show left hanging is Debra discovering dexter's secret. It'll happen. Something will have to bring them back together.

My idea is that it will be uncovering the identity of their father's murderer. I know he killed himself, supposedly. But that doesn't make any sense to me.

Harry told Dexter that there was a nurse, who was a serial killer. The one that was taking care of Harry. Dex took care of her. So if Harry was going to kill himself out of guilt, it seems odd that he would want her killed.

It might have been out of some sense of justice that harry knew needed to happen but regardless, that is enough to contradict. If harry wanted to die he might just accept the favor the same way Dex poisoned the records lady.

Granted we know Harry wasn't perfect he had a dark passenger as well.(The womanizing) I don't think harry would kill himself. He would feel to much obligation to look over Moser's son. even if he threw up after seeing the dismembered body.

I think Harry was protecting his children from the same group that murdered Laura.

In the book, harry was sleeping with Laura in order to obtain information. She is found out and made an example of.

How did they find out?

I think that there was a corrupt cop on the inside. I think it was Matthews.

That was probably one of the more annoying parts about Season 5.

Well It was pretty much stated Harry died a year after that Nurse was killed by Dexter. Plus a big reveal near the end of Season 2 was that Harry Killed himself, because, it wasn't the Dexter killing people that unsettled him. It was the mutilation. That's when Harry realized what he did was wrong. As far as Deb finding out, It seems like a good season to do it, plus I thought I may have read somewhere that it most likely will happen this year. For all we know it could happen the last 30 seconds of the finale, and then the series ends. :awesome:

harry was sickened by the mutilation, and we know that Harry overdosed, but it was Dexter who assumed that it was the mutilation that caused harry to kill himself. A very odd assumption.

Matthews could have killed harry with an overdose of his medicine.

^Personally it would be lame to bring that storyline up again. It's been resolved for a while now and I think hardly anyone remembers it or thinks it still holds any relevance. Plus it would completely undermine the brilliant reveal about Harry in Season 2. So I say leave it alone, and I'm sure they will.

I think it would be awesome for dexter to go after somebody in the department.

I just think it's a very peculiar theory since it'd be very out of no where and kind of go back on things that have been set in stone for years.

I also don't get why it's an odd assumption. Harry thought he was training dexter to take out bad guys while keeping him from becoming one of those badguys. In theory it's very clean, but he never accounted for the mutilation and urges dexter still needed to fulfill. This would be sickening to any normal person, as it was displayed, even doakes was incredibly disturbed by it when he had to sit in the same room while dexter dismantled a body.

All in all after witnessing the mutilation Harry realized dexter was still a monster, but now very adept and skilled at evading capture. The idea that he was the cause made him kill himself. I don't really see what is so odd about that. But ah well, to each his own.

Very interested in the antagonist that's being set up so far. The episode didn't really give away much which I loved.

I loved this episode. They brought back the sadistic humor of Dex's inner monologue. Plus, the more Harry the better...

Yeah I love that part it was so much like season one when Dexter went to the Ice Truck Killers crime scene in the First episode.

Ha ha, I didn't even think about that. Have to watch it again to see if he actually touches anything during the episode.

I dn't think he touches anything... he's just there, telling the young guy to act

Well he was holding the flaslight on the boat while the young guy paddled.

Yeah, granted, but it could also have been an imaginary object. I think "ghost Harry" has been spotted holding objects from time to time.

Now that Superfreak has me thinking about this, it's now about 50-50 for me on whether he's real or not. It's cool either way.

Olmos is def there... he is a professor and U of Miami i think.

Yes, but in a liberal arts faculty I believe. So just like real professors tenured in that field, his physical existence is still in question. ;)

I thought they were a fathers son team to mirror Dexter and his son.

If that was true, they should have got Tom to play Colin's papa...

I'd love to see a scary and evil Tom Hanks.
