It's a mixed bag. Some people are loving it, others not so much. I think it's one of the most inconsistent seasons, personally.
So far, I'm loving S6. It's a lot more entertaining than the dull S5, and it's building towards Deb finding out Dexter's secret, which is awesome.
Hey all,
Haven't been able to watch Season 6 of Dexter as I don't have Showtime, which is killing me. Just wondering how everyone is liking Season 6? Maybe on a scale of 1-10? Is it better than Season 5? Where does it rank among Dexter so far?

I think he could possibly become next season big bad, unless Dexter figures out that he is not what he seems to be before seasons end.The Louis subplot is way more interesting to me than the main plot. That dude is hiding something, but I have no idea what.
I think it would become cliche-ic if every new character on this show turns out to be either a lunatic or a killer! But at least the nanny wasn't, like everyone raved about, with Louis on the other hand, there is definetly something wrong: he has that hand, he is obsessed with Dexter and he made a video game where the player can be a serial killer! That is a bit suspicious.Didn't that what you people said about the Nanny in season 5? Why can't Louis be just another (lucky) lab geek?
And don't tell my it just because of the nature of his video game, please...
I just think after the amazing first four seasons and particularly the advent of Breaking Bad, Dexter is looking a little long in the tooth.
Right now Walter is an immensely more edgy character than Dexter is. The episode with Brian was the first time in a while that his character had some of that malicious and sadistic edge to him that he did in earlier seasons but they backed away from that quickly.
That's how I felt about Season 5, so I'm guessing Season 6 won't do anything to change my mind. Seasons 1-4 of Dexter were pretty amazing and, with Breaking Bad absolutely dominating and spoiling us in terms of quality, it's hard to accept anything less than amazing IMO.
