The Dark Knight Did anyone feel a J. Depp/Jack Sparrow vibe from joker?

I got a Johnny Depp as Hunter S Thompson vibe from Heath's Joker when he says "I only have one question... Where is Harvey Dent?"

Hell no, I don't see people's foolish notion to try and compare Ledger or his Joker to Depp. And he would never live up to Ledger's Joker, nor would anyone else, so screw any recast at all.

Depp is so ****ing overrated it pisses me off. Maybe I'll write an editorial about it sometime soon.

It pisses you off, eh? Well, you just pissed Johnny off. Here's why...

:wow:

I hate how people really think Depp could do a better Joker than Ledger. That notion is so laughable and anyone who says that should be punched and kicked in the balls.

Nope.

Didnt realize Sparrow licked his lips a lot and acted like a pirate. I'll have to watch it for a 6th time just to be sure.

I hear a slight Jack Sparrow inflection in his voice when he says "I only have one question..." at the penthouse raid, but that's pretty much it.

Get over it, there's no similarities between Heath's Joker and any of Jack's overrated roles.

the joker is the joker, there is no comparing to him. i think he should be recast for the next film, no diss to heath, but it better not be johnny depp.

No way - and Im damn glad, and if in someway he reminds anyone of Johnny Depp as Hunter S Thomson then he should just remind you of Hunter S Thomson.

No, to the Jack Sparrow Connection and Yes, just a little bit to the Jhonny Depp vibe. I think Jhonny Depp could almost pull of a character such as heaths Joker, but not completely. but If push came to shove and it was a must to recast, Depp would be the only way to go.

what so you wouldn't have joker in the next film? after all what happened in TDK i think it would be stupid if they didnt. im gettin sick of new villains being reeled out for each movie, the joker should be batmans perminant antagonist getting locked up time and time again but then escaping time and time again just like in the comics.

Nope I wouldn't want to see another actor take over the role but it's no skin off my back if you do. :)
I have talked about this before in the BB sequels section.

Some of you need to watch more damn films. Some of these parallels come off like they are coming from some 6 year old kid given your film character knowlage. Wheres the talk about him being like Cagney, even Pacino characters?

Yes. But only at the moment where Joker talks to Gordon in the interrogation room. Something about the way he says "Do you somehow feel responsible for Dent's current predicament...your men or maroni's....what's the time?" It had an effeminacy that reminded me of Jack Sparrow. Very brief though and limited to that moment.

No...

No...

No..

No...

and No.

Clearly Heath got into a vibe that transcends "good actor" he really FOUND the character. So no matter WHAT actor you get; it's going to be VERY rare and improbable to see an actor approach this the same way.

Either Johnny Depp is very overrated.

Jack Sparrow vibe?

Not for one second. He was all Joker.
