🇺🇸 Discussion: Guns, The Second Amendment, NRA - Part II

US News
And yet we can't get all these things passed in all states......

This shows how popular these are with Fox viewers and yet Republican lawmakers keep denying it and then these same people keep voting those lawmakers back into office to do nothing.

Crazy how they repeatedly get people to vote against their best interests. :(

Fortunately my neighbors are more or less decent if somewhat conservative people. They own guns but I don't fear them shooting at me or anyone near me. Which is not a common enough occurence apparently.

I've got elderly mostly around me which we help out now and again so I'm not afraid of them shooting me anytime soon. :) Very quiet on my short street.

A different world where your neighbours and any random passer by could be carrying a gun. I only see guns in the hands of armed police here, and even that’s very rare.

It's the same where I live. I've only seen a handful of guns the whole time I've lived here and that was from police as well.

Oh good to know it’s not the whole of the US then.

Why do they want kids at things like this.

Probably because they themselves grew up in that culture. It's normal for them.

I've lived in Florida most of my life, but I've never seen anyone carry a firearm in public. That's because open carry is illegal in that state. While living in the more liberal Washington state, I saw someone open-carrying a sidearm in a shoulder-holster. Open carry is legal in Washington.

On the other hand Washington is the latest state to pass an assault weapons ban. :)
