If they supported Trump then I’d be skeptical of their own self awareness.

My wife's reasoning for voting for Trump was that she wanted a businessman to help the economy and Hillary was an awful person. She says Democrats are thieves anyway.

She didn't like the things he said about women, but it didn't matter compared to the good she thought he would do.

lol, because Trump isn't an awful person and also isn't a thief? Trump University says hi. So does the "charity" for children with cancer. And the claimed charity donations to veterans that didn't actually happen.

He's a parasite. In the olden days he'd be riding around the country in a stagecoach selling snake oil and mystery elixirs.

I would suggest pointing to Michigan under a businessman only slightly more successful than Trump to point to the fallacy of "government run by a CEO".

She doesn't keep informed or watch the news at all (We actually had an argument about it recently when she told me to stop watching it because it fills my head with crap) and she gets all of her opinions from her parents. I won't discuss her parents. :whatever:

I just left a County Fair and saw a group (Maybe 5 to 6 men) at the exit, with pamphlets thinking they were asking for donations for something. They were trying to bring attention to their cause of a group on the verge of extinction and goes on to talk about white males. We live in a suburb of NY. I just never thought I'd see that here.

    "On the verge of extinction"?

How can you take people like that or those sympathetic to them seriously? How? I mean we constantly have some kind of scolding from some corner of the media talking about seeing things from their perspective but their perspective is a paranoid, detached from reality fantasia of resentment.

So you respect women and champion for their voices to be heard more in society... so long as they agree with you. Gotcha.

The tolerant left ladies and gentlemen.

My wife and I should have informed them that things work out okay since we are both mixed. My grandfather and her mother are both white. But I don't think that would have made them feel better.

Do you agree that there are some opinions and beliefs that one should not tolerate?

My precious Hillary? lol, I voted for Sanders in the primary and grudgingly voted for Hillary in the main. She's not my "precious" anything :whatever:.

I don't pretend to know what's better for women who voted for Trump. However, I do think that I know what's better for women in general than Trump is. And by that I mean that women would be much better off with a president who isn't trying to do away with their reproductive rights and their healthcare in general, and a president who isn't trying to roll back the rights of LGBTQ women.

I’m glad you think that but if the election was any indication then 45% of women disagree with you, that’s a pretty healthy amount.

At least healthy enough to warrant a discussion and not just pass it off as “any woman that didn’t vote like I did is an idiot...”.

The libs are supposedly the party for women and minorities, but the moment they go off script it’s white men there to tell them all how they should think and feel.

They would defend their right to choose to have an abortion, just not their right to disagree politically.

So you can’t ‘tolerate’ it if someone is a republican?

Well Bernie spent several months telling us all why she’d be an awful president, then he spent the next several months telling us that we should all vote for her.

This is what politicians do, they are full of s***. Politicians lie.

If there is no difference between sides then why do you and others like you continually shill for one side over the other? Seems then that even you don't have belief in the very idea you are selling then, doesn't it? And if that is so... Why should anyone, anywhere at anytime give your opinions any serious consideration?

I don't shill for one side over the other. I have voted for both democrat and republican candidates in my lifetime. Several years ago I identified as a liberal so I have perspective that a lot of conservatives don't. I know what it's like to be on both sides.

I've already made peace with the fact that Trump will say anything to save face no matter how ridiculous it sounds. That's the game. I support his policies, it's that simple.

    “I support his policies”

Considering some of what Trump’s policies include, that says enough.

Racism is in fact one of Trump's policies.

Translation: Anyone that voted for Trump is evil/dumb/racist/etc.

We get it, it's the same tired accusations libs have been levying against republicans for years.

The sitting republican president is always painted as a cartoonishly evil supervillain until their predecessor comes along. Reagan, Bush, Bush Jr... and now Trump. Each candidate more 'evil' than the last.

There's no going back now for the dems. The repubs could nominate Wally Cleaver in 10 years and the dems would still compare him to Hitler if it suited them. Because it's not like they would ever say, "Hey our republican opponent may not agree with us but at least he's not bad as Trump...".. because they ALWAYS have to paint them as worst as the last guy. That's the game.
