hey there, don't venture over here much, but I thought I'd throw in my opinion.
as far as the rest of the movie, I thought it was decent. the only problem I had was the number of missed opportunities at the conclusion of the film.
1) they had the kid who could neutralize mutant powers, why didn't they take him up to Jean, and put her powers on mute? I think it would be safe to assume that the kid is immune to mutant powers.
2) Rogue... useless character, she shouldn't have even been in the movie... she has like 2 lines, and does nothing the entire film. She should have returned at the climax of the film, to drain Jean of excess power (giving us the rogue we all know and love, the one who is strong, and can fly).
The movie was good, but it lacked connection between characters, like Archangel, another totally useless character who did nothing the whole movie. A good story should have tied all these characters together to make them important to the final outcome of the narrative, it didn't feel that way at all. I felt like ratner was like 'lets make an xmen movie! forget the plot, the concept will sell itself'
