hey there, don't venture over here much, but I thought I'd throw in my opinion.

as far as the rest of the movie, I thought it was decent. the only problem I had was the number of missed opportunities at the conclusion of the film.

1) they had the kid who could neutralize mutant powers, why didn't they take him up to Jean, and put her powers on mute? I think it would be safe to assume that the kid is immune to mutant powers.

2) Rogue... useless character, she shouldn't have even been in the movie... she has like 2 lines, and does nothing the entire film. She should have returned at the climax of the film, to drain Jean of excess power (giving us the rogue we all know and love, the one who is strong, and can fly).

The movie was good, but it lacked connection between characters, like Archangel, another totally useless character who did nothing the whole movie. A good story should have tied all these characters together to make them important to the final outcome of the narrative, it didn't feel that way at all. I felt like ratner was like 'lets make an xmen movie! forget the plot, the concept will sell itself'

Jean would of read there minds before it happen in both scenarios// just think about it what are her powers. Plus, as the dark phoenix she is all powerfull

Yeah maybe she would but letting Wolverine fight the Phoenix alone isn't the X-men's style. It felt weird. Storm became the leader when Cyclops died, why would she just take that order from Wolverine when she knows could be a big help against the Phoenix? She told Wolverine in the danger room that they should work as a team yet when it came down to it, they did the complete opposite.

I don't think it's safe to assume he would be immune to Jean's powers at all. He can neautralise the X-gene when he is up close, but surely Jean could demolecularise him before he got chance to get up close.

Aside from that, he's just a kid. They were supposed to be saving him, not putting him into battle.

there was a thread like this about jean, leech would have died a horrible death...
and rouge was mainly there for the personal reasons of Bobby, notice how he was getting more face time.. she was in his life so of course they had him, he was starting to really embrass his mutant powers, and I BELIEVE when he was fighting Pyro the main reason he lived and ICED himself up was for the love of rouge

I swear when I saw Rogue at the end of the movie I was like, "WHAT THE IN WORLD WERE YOU DOING DURING THIS MOVIE!!!" Rogue was underused, underused, UNDERUSED!!!:o :down

The movie was awful, and does not deserve to stand up along with the first two!!Im sorry to anyone who liked it, I basically "tolerated" it for the time I was stuck viewing it. Im a HUGE xmen fan of the films, comics etc. but that was the worst excuse for an Xmen film I think ill ever see. I have too many reasons to list why I didnt like it!

yeah, but it wasn't that bad, X3 = AVP. Watchable and fun, but doesn't really live up to those that came before. I think Jedi still holds the belt for having a satisfying 3rd installment

Agreed. I even tought I had more fun with Mission Impossible 3. And I love so much the X-men movies until they just ruin it. Is not the worst thing but for an X-men movie is a huge dissapointment.

I agree they shouldn't have put a kid into battle (although Kitty's pretty close) but just like in Evo Rogue could've borrowed Leech's power. Then they could've worked as a team to distract Jean while Rogue snuck up on her. That way they could've utilized Rogue in the final battle sequence and not have to resort to bumping off Jean.

I totally agree with you I was very disapointed with the whole film it has some good entertaining bits but Wasting cyclopes in the 1st 20 mins was a discrace im a huge cyke fan and was realy peeved when he was killed. What was even worse was that none of the xmen showed any emotion from his death no one even spoke about it exept when they told jean that she had killed her boyfriend, Hell even prof X got his tomb stone erected b4 cyke I am also a huge wolverine fan but if they make his solo movie they need to make it at least a 15+ as he is too kidiefied, hes cracking jokes when he shoud be slicing peoples guts open while taking an absurd amout of punishment from maching gun fire. anyways i could go on forever with what i did not like about X3 but there were some good bits like when magneto moved the goldengate bridge i thought that was awsome and loved that grin on his face. I was told that some thing happened after the credits would anyone be able to tell me if anything did as i left before that. If they make X4 jean proberly come back via phoenix powers and bring Cyke and Prof x with her. Fingers crossed :)

Its Angel, not Archangel, he only become Archangel after Apocalypse.
