Uh, no Cali... that's low.

I use 50, although I don't use it on a daily basis since higher SPFs are occlusive for your skin and you don't want that.

OK mom. Whatever you say. According to the bottle, it blocks 97% of the suns rays. I almost never go outside and just sit in the sun anyway. I'm more of a mow the lawn, walk the dogs, maybe go to an outdoor happy hour kind of guy (though the latter can take a couple of hours with no problem).

But thank you for caring. :cwink:

Oh yeah. I wear sunglasses outside. The UV is also bad for your eyes.

I essentially use Keihls.

I do a face scrub in the shower. I put a serum followed by facial lotion with a SPF in it. Sometimes a different one for under my eyes.

At night, I'm suppose to use a cleanser to wipe down my face. I sometimes forget.

I don't use body soap for my face.

Thank me later.

I use everything this gentleman pointed out.

Also St Ives Apricot Scrub, and I pretty much lather my face in Aquaphor at night.

I just rub it with body soap during shower.

Also a nice trick: wash pillow covers every time Laundry day comes. that helps.

Sting was brought up earlier but no Dune gifs of him in leather underwear?

You disappointed ne again Hype. .

I was going to sit in the pool for awhile (we have an above ground one that my wife hounded me into getting) and went into the bathroom to look for sunblock. You'll be ecstatic to know that my wife evidently bought a bottle of 60 SFP sunblock so I used it. It was a tiny, little bottle though. Like maybe an ounce and a half??? It was really thin compared to the stuff I'm used to and I really don't want to know how much it costs.....it just LOOKS expensive.

My wife's superpower is that she can walk into any store in the world and find THE most expensive item in the establishment within 5 minutes. My superpower is that I never go shopping with her. When ask her how she does what she does, she just says "I know what I like". :csad:

@InCali oh, yeah.. about that: we've been chatting :p and I told her that you weren't taking proper care.

Today I picked up my "hot sale" package, I would call it: investment. Been wanting to try this format (spray) for a long time -it's amazeballs!-:

The rest of the delivery includes more skincare products :D but this one has been a great discovery. And I'd recommend it for the lazy-ies (like me) out there! And I guess it's way easier if you wish to re-apply.

You didn't really think you were going to get away without me saying something.....did you? :p

You learn fast! hahaha (worries internally)

Yeah, it's only 30 because we're in Autumn/Fall, so I don't need much more! But POOL season requires a higher SFP.

I’m going to South Korea next week so I’m hoping to try some BB cream. Might try a few new cleansers and moisturisers actually

my skin looks terrible, nothing i can do about it. i drank far too much beer when i was in my 20s and it ruined my skin, all red and bloated a bit.
shouldve gotten into vodka sooner as that wouldnt have destroyed my skin as much, but i havent had an alcoholic drink in over ten years thank god.
i just wash it with warm water as any soap would make it worse.
but im used to it now used to be self concious about it.

I'm jealous, South Korea is a skincare heaven. Hope you have a great time! :D

I've wondered if there was a skincare thread here but never searched for one. I'm really into skincare, particularly because I've always had acne and eczema, a terrible combo and quite difficult to treat at the same time. Both are in good condition right now, I think using retinol and a daily sunscreen have helped of late. I also got a LED face mask for Christmas and it seems to work really well on my skin. I'm using red and blue light therapy, in particular. Highly recommended! My mask was under 200 euros so it's a good investment.
Yeah I’m really excited! It’s funny, I thought we had a thread already but this is the only one I found when I did a search.

oh that sounds really nice actually! I might try that LED mask! Thank you for the tip

sorry to hear that, I also get reddish skin from being out of shape when I was younger. I’ve found some face creams do work. It would be interesting if you decide to wear concealer or something. They make special kinds for men now and more and more men are doing it now

Has anyone tried nail mucin serums? I'm intrigued

I'm trying to get on a routine of using a salicylic acid face wash and toner and a hyaluronic acid moisturizer before bed. I use CeraVe benzoyl peroxide in the shower, though. Oily family here.

My mother did baby oil, Seabreze, and baby lotion before that. When I'm on the cheap I would do Dove beauty bar, witch hazel, and baby lotion, but it depends how your skin will respond to it.

I used to do benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. But now I don’t really have much in terms of breakouts. (Being almost 50, the hormones aren’t what they once were I guess). I still use Harry’s face wash with peppermint oil in the shower.

Then after shaving I use Everyman Jack face and post shave lotion. It has an SPF of 30 and it moisturizes without getting the skin oily.
