Do you have a best friend?

I used to have 2, but their girlfriends got in the way of that. I was/am apparently the only 1 out of us 3 who could budget "friend time" and "girlfriend time". So now, I just have a crapload of really good friends

My significant other is my best friend.

Yeah....

My male friends have an amazing lack of that ability. The girl comes along, kapow--the rest of us don't exist.

No, I have Plenty of friends though.

I am the only one of the group without a Girl friend :csad:

Well, of course. You gotta go with the girl (if you like girls, that is)

I thought about this the other day, and it occurred to me that while I have friends, even good friends..and I like to think that they would help me if I needed them and such.
But honestly, there is no one that I can call my "best friend".

Doesn't really bother me, but it struck me as odd for some reason.
I used to, but they got married and are now souless zombies.

I have a best friend, but its not as if it was something "Like yo dawg, we're best friends". Its something that has simply grown out of my knowing him for 8 or 9 years (since 7th Grade), we went to high-school together, went to the same college, etc. I know and have met most of his extended family as he has mine, so it simply someone who I know has my back, and he knows I have his back, and friends like that are hard to come by. However, now that I am transferring colleges I suppose it'll be interesting to see if we stay friends or drift apart.

Yeah, friends drift when you get older. But you're friends, so you can always drift back. A lot of my friends now are in relationships and have kids. So you just don't get the time you used to because of the responsibilities you gather over the years.

I have a best mate, but it's not like when you're younger and are hangin with each other everyday. Because you are best friends, you don't have to. You can not see each other for a month (or longer), but you're still best friends. That's the point.

But in regards to what others have said, I also have a few mates that completely disappear as soon as they get a hint of fanjita :o

I have a friend that I could consider my best friend. However, we've only known each other for 4 years so I don't think we'd consider each other best friends.

Four years is a fairly long time. I've only known my best friend for 5 years.

Aw, so true. Those two suck :csad: At least you have me as a female best friend, but that's so not the same.

Spoons is my BEST best friend. :o I also have a couple girls I'd consider to still be best friends of mine.

I did until 2001, and a drunk driver that hit him head on in a wreck. We were like brothers. born the same time, went to school our whole lives.

He's 3 years older than me. We met when he was a senior and I was a freshman so it's not like we were in high school for 4, 3 or even 2 years. Even in high school I saw him during 1 period. We live 2 houses away from each other so our hanging out was always after school on the weekend.

I have lots of best friends, all of you......wait what?

I have one best friend, he sometimes posts on the hype as Green+Black. We knew each other since 2000, but became best friends in 2005. We only talked sometimes until 2005 when we united against the rest the class. I hate him when he plays Katey Perry songs:nono: I toss on some metal and shut him up.

I have another friend who'd I call really close also.

I've lost a lot of friends over the years and learnt, fewer the friends the better. Having 1 or 2 friends lets you bond better.

I have my High/Grade School friends that I hang out with once in awhile. But they're basically all *ahem* **** ups. So I can't really relate to them much anymore. But I still hang out with them for the simple fact that we've all known each other forever.

I got another group of friends that I met through another high school friend and they have friends that they work with that I've become friends with too. Take your time on figuring out that sentence.

I have one friend that's also a member on this board that I've been friends with for a little over a year and we're tight as hell. So I guess I'd consider him my best friend. I like chillin' with him and what not. Some of my other friends I just don't want to see sometimes. But this particular friend is on the same wave length as me. We're similar. So I don't mind hanging out with him as often as I do. It's cool man. He's a good guy.

Yep.
Can call each other at 3 in the morning to meet any day and be there and s**t like that.
It's epic.

My best friend is my computer. Always there and gets on your nerves every now and then.

I have Super Friends :P

I guess I don't really have a best friend anymore. The best friend I did have doesn't speak to me anymore because of a falling out we had over my girlfriend. They didn't get along, mostly because my girlfriend got a bit jealous of how close we were. One drunken argument later and we haven't spoken in a year.

I miss her everyday :(

I actually met my best friend on the Hype and moved out of state to live with him. True story. :o
