Comics Do you like the unmasking....THE POLL

What do you think?

  • LOVE IT!!!! Opens the door to some great stories.

  • Like it. A good idea, not sure about the execution though.

  • Dislike it. Just seems like a bad idea.

  • HATE IT!! Totally out of character, thanks again Marvel!

  • Not sure yet.

Simple. Revealing secret identities is a sure way to generate short-term sales boosts.

If I'm remembering correctly, Iron Man's been on a secret identity roller coaster for the past three years. "I'm Tony Stark! No I'm not! Yes I am!" That's two major unmaskings of the exact same guy.

AKA two cheap sales booster shots, whether or not it worked.

Hold on before you eat my head off for making another Civil War thread, know that this is a poll and I checked the first five pages and there is no poll on the subject.

This is just not do you like him being unmasked but do you like that Peter willingly agreed to unmask himself in front of the world because a law he hates told him to? Great idea or not. Let's see then.
I think it opens doors to some new and interesting stories, but only as long as it's temporary.
But if it's not, Goodbye marvel, the last couple years have been fun.

Mos def. I've discussed many times, how much I'm loving Civil War and everything around it... But Spidey unmasking really has no purpose in the story aside from a shock tactic sales boost. Millar didn't even want to do it, and he's gone fully on the record to give Joey Q the credit.

And JMS from the start very strongly hinted in Wizard that they have a back door out of the unmasking...

I just hope the execution of that is good, like they way they did it in Daredevil. It worked really well in DD. It's really tough to do it with Spidey's VERY public unmasking though

I also have to agree with Flint Marko though, if t's not done well in AT MOST a couple of years, bye bye to my fave charcter

See, a big part of DD's situation is that he was supposedly faking his blindness. Since he can prove he is blind, the rest of it goes out the window. Too many people have seen Peter Parker crawl up walls & such. I don't know how they're gonna undo this.
