Once you are in your twenties, everyone should have at least one suit for weddings, funerals and job interviews.

Aren't those first two the same?

:mnm:

Yeah but spouses don't like hearing that.

I rent for weddings

Button down shirt & dress pants for funerals.

Job interviews??

20 somethings don't get jobs, they get gigs. And don't cut their hair.

I'm down to one full suit now (used to be three or four) and various slacks and shirts. Will have to get one or two new suits this year.

Yes, I own about 5 suits, tons of ties too.
 and that is why you are a real american hero!!!

I have quite a few.

everyone should have at least 1 while in college. then add more.

Never needed to wear one so don't own one.

Of course.

Even babies have suits.

I own a tux from when I was in orchestra. That's like a fancy suit with not nearly as many situations to wear.

...the suit I had in MY 20's was a friggin' Leisure Suit....no thanks. That's ONE thing I don't miss from the 70's and 80's

Uses for my tuxedo so far:

1. Wedding
2. Wedding Photography the day after
3. Cruise
4. New Year's Eve Party

I do agree that it's not an everyday suit. But I also wear my tuxedo with a tie and not bowtie so that helps.

I have only one. Fits really nice. Only used like 10 times or so, one of them was when I dressed as Clark Kent lol.

College student, don't think I have a suit that still fits. Will definitely obtain one before I graduate. Can't venture into the "real world" without one, but all the jobs and internships I've had so more required no more than a button-up shirt and slacks.

It's an unspoken rule of being a man that you should have one suit. It doesn't need to be Armani.

I should, but I don't. I barely have dress clothes.

I own a suit and a couple of suit jackets, but funerals and weddings are the only times that I put them on. I find even the lightest suits hot and confining, so they're definitely special-occasion-only wear.

It doesn't. But you can easily tell the difference.

True statement. Maybe when I get older, I can get that Armani status. I can't get that on my post-undergrad salary.

I own around 4 or 5 suits... Don't wear them that often. But I think it is nice to be smart from time to time.
