World Doc Ock's Lair v2

It does have a way of popping up again when ever it suits the writers. Anyway I'm going to re-post this on the new page.

The first issue of the Origin of the Species arc came out in ASM #642 today, and Ock was nothing short of badass in it. You have to see the final scenes of this issue in the Coffee Bean. Menace goes into labor, but fortunately for her there's a Doctor on hand (on many hands actually) with a wonderful bedside manner:

I think my favorite part is when
Menace is screaming in pain from the contractions, and Ock shoves a tentacle claw on her mouth and tells her to be silent. LOL!

:otto:

Nice writing sadly accompanied by some of the absolute worst art I've ever seen in a published comic book.

An...interesting take on Spider-Man's rogue's gallery. Gotta say, Ock looks good. :cwink:

That's Lily Hollister aka Menace, the latest Goblin, who's preggers with Norman's child.

Here's all the info you need on her: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menace_(Marvel_Comics)

Basically it looks like Ock wants the DNA or something from her Goblin baby to cure himself.

Wow. That could be the lamest origin for a villain I've seen since the Vulturions. I mean, I like the idea of Spidey having more female villains, but does the Spiderverse really need another Goblin? I am so sick of everything revolving around Norman Osborn. Have the writers become that lazy? Or are they just completely creatively bankrupt?
I say kill off Norman and Harry now and leave the whole Goblin thing in the past where it belongs.
And get Ock healthy and his arms adamantium-ized pronto. Then Otto can re-gain his rightful place as Spider Man's one, true arch-foe.

I agree that Norman has been over used. He's the Deus Ex Machina for Spidey's world in the last decade. If Peter catches a cold, Norman caused it lol.

I think this arc is going to re-establish Ock to healthy form, and hopefully with a stronger more improved body. If they really want to impress me, have him don the armani suit again.

I hope so. And we agree completely on the return of the armani suit. It presents Ock at his badass best. We just need the super-powerful adamantium arms to go along with it.

Glad you like it. (Not that I made it or anything.) Is that really Catwoman? I thought it might be Poison Ivy, with the long red hair. Then again, she has Selina's goggles...

Maybe it's an amalgamation of all three Bat-femmes? The goggles are Catwoman's, the hair is Ivy's but that red and black color scheme is definitely Harley Quinn.

Sweet piece regardless, and I love the idea of Chameleon/Riddler.

I reckon you're right, Wabbit.

Check out this. I want this:

I found this interesting. In the last issue of Grim Hunt, Peter is told not to kill Kraven as he imagines his life as a murderer. In the very bottom picture, you can see him impaling Doc Ock on a piece of sharp metal. Looks awesome.

^^ I thought that was an awesome moment. I really liked the glimpse, Peter looks totally grit to the bone, and that costume. Seriously, I would love to see something like this ... like Spider-Man Noir in the modern age.

Wow, that is one sweeeeet picture  :wow:

Wabbit, I've never owned that tentacle set. I wish I did. I think I posted a pic of it before when it was first released. Maybe that's what you're thinking of.

^^ Do you plan on getting the tentacle set? I don't think it's that expensive. Well, atleast not as expensive as some of the diorama's out there. I almost bought it last year, but decided to get a few other Spidey busts.

ALso, did anybody here evne bu ythe Doc Ock movie figure that was eleased with the SPider-Man movie pack back in 2007? I didn't. I almost did, but decided not to, mainly because I bought just about every Spider-Man 2 figure made in 2004, including all of the Doc Ock figures. They were better quality than the one released in 2007.

I was just watching SM2 the other night. Seeing as how Alfred Molina shows great interest in playing Doc Ock again, I was thinking it might be interesting if he were to don the tentacles again about 10 or 20 years down the road in a new Spider-Man series so that he could perhaps play the more elderly Ock.

Not specifically Ock-related, but I saw an ad last night for a new Law and Order spinoff. It takes place in Los Angeles and Alfred Molina's a member of the cast. :)

Also: Recently finished re-reading Return of the Sinister Six and watched some Spectacular Spider-Man last night. :hrt: Good stuff. Such good, good stuff. :otto:
