Awwww, thanks man! Can't wait to see the Doc Ock vs Spidey one.

How was Comic Con? Meet anyone famous from Marvel or DC?

I gotta say, I've had luck running into famous artists in the times I've gone. (Today was only the second time I've gone.) Last year I saw Todd MacFarlane chatting with Angel Medina as I was waiting in line for Mr Medina to finish a sketch. That was the Joker pic I sent you...er, Joker.

This year I got to thumb through some of J. Scott Campbell's sample art. He was right there doing sketches but I didnt bother asking him for anything. Most of the artists I spoke with had tons of people with requests ahead of mine and they werent people that I was familiar with. J Scott Cambell would be booked for sure.

Greg Horn was also there and he had some books for sale but they were a little pricey. I went with $100 and expected to get a lot of art for that. Nope, just 6 pics. Stuff was expensive as hell. The most I paid for a sketch was $25, most were asking for $50 or $75 for a full body drawing. The most expensive art I saw was $125! :wow:

Anyway, I got pics of Superman (I dont like it very much, the artist wasnt very talented I dont think. All of his characters had the same pose and face. It was free so no loss. He didnt even draw the "S" symbol. :cmad: ) I got a Harley Quinn, Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) Ock v Spidey, Captain America and Electro.

A lot of people dressed up. A man and woman came as Superman and Supergirl. I gotta say, they really looked the part. The guy was a little skinny but he had an intense look and a big chin, so it worked. Lots of people stopped them and asked for pics. A guy came in with an absolutely enormous Chewbacca costume. I swear he must have been 7 feet tall. Two guys came in the 60's style Batman and Joker costumes. A lot of TDK Joker costumes, of course.

And, as always, the ladies didnt disappoint. :woot: Two that I saw were in some sort of Devil costumes and I have no idea how they didnt get arrrested considering how much flesh was shown. Not that I'm complaining.

Security....I kinda wonder about. No one bothered checking my ticket when I arrived at the convention center in Chicago. Last year they made sure my ticket was pinned to my shirt. Like I said, I didnt even see anyone checking tickets as I walked in. I wish I had known that before I paid my $25.

It was hot, it was crowded and it was frustrating trying to find available artists that I liked and didnt charge outrageously. I'll definitely do it again next year.

So jealous! Sounds like a blast. You're very lucky to be able to go to these events. I'd looooooove to go to a comic con. One day I will. And I'll go dressed as the Joker. I have the slickest Heath Ledger Joker suit.

Btw, I'd love to see the Harley Quinn sketch you got, too.

Thts a nice collection too! I was wondering, do you have the one where he is in a straight jacket fighting batman? Tht one was always my fav, shame I couldnt get it wen i had the chance.

No, I don't. If I did, it'd be in there. I'll get it eventually. Ebay is usually the place. Most of my Doc Ock stuff is from ebay.

Tht reminds I should post up tht pic of Doc ock Andy Tong drew for me!

Can't wait to see it.

Awesome video, man.

You are ridiculously talented at making these.

I hope Otto doesn't mind me posting my Joker video in his lair but considering we have a few Joker fans in here... :cwink:

Right?

Just as long as you acknowledge that Doc Ock reigns supreme in here. You might just keep the flesh on your bones.

:otto:

I finally read the 600th issue, and thought it was pretty good. Not perfect, but definately worth the price tag for as much material as they fit in the issue. The main feature was very entertaining, and I can't wait to see how Doc Ock returns, and hopefully saves himself from his imminent death. My favorite part of the entire issue, though was probably the short Uncle Ben/Young Peter story. Very touching.

By the way, I love the Ledger Joker figures you have in your collection. They seem huge in comparison to the others. How big would you say they are?

This AWESOME piece of epic clothing should be arriving in my mailbox by tomorrow.:woot:

Demo: Sweet, glad you had fun :D One day I will go, when I can pay for the plane and hotels ;D

Bizzarro: SWEET T'shirt, it's full of awesome :D

This maybe be a hint...but.....me thinks the logo in the corner has something to do with it :hyper:

Glad you enjoyed it, man. It was so popular that it sold out, and they're doing a 2nd printing with a new cover, featuring the new design Doc Ock: http://marvel.com/news/comicstories.9141.Amazing_Spider-Man_#600_Sells_Out

Yep, Doc Ock's return sold out. Impressive :otto:

The biggest one is about 15-16 inches in height, and the statue is about 12-13 inches, I think.

I love 'em both.

Well I'm finally getting the episodes for SSM Season 22, so ow I'll be able to make my stupid little videos with new clips. I was even thinking of making on dedicated to Ock, but we're haveing trouble in that department.

OK, so let's say Ock gets better and decides to reform the Sinister Six. Who should be in the new line up?
I'd say:
Doctor Octopus, Stunner, Electro, Vulture, Shocker, Hydro-Man

Ock, Electro (short out communications/defenses of whatever they are going after), Vulture (the eye in the sky and the tech support), Sandman, Rhino (Sandman and Rhino are the muscle), Chameleon (the inside operative)

@Planner: great pic, I love Stunner's "how dare they!" face :woot:

sinister 6 lineup...hm I am a fan of the original, but I could leave out Rhino and replace him with someone new, maybe Kraven? Venom (as much as I dislike him) might also be an interesting addition...although it would take a lot to persuade him.

Yup, new art:

Nice to see Doc Ock purchased #600, too :oldrazz:

I'd say:
Doctor Octopus, Stunner, Electro, Vulture, Shocker, Hydro-Man

Doc Ock, Electro, Mysterio [Yes he's back again], Vulture, Sandman, and Shocker. I'd like the line up as close to the original Six as possible.

Sinister Six Line-Up. Hmm, I gotta think about this. Since they have a few new villains, I'd say
Ock, Vulture, Electro, Sandman, Kraven, and Freak.
