See? Told you.
Anybody read this one?

The other two in this series, but not this one itself. Was on bookshelves for about a week and I've never since been able to find it. Always liked the interior illustrations, especially for Venom Factor.

Love Otto's twisted mental image at the end of that excerpt, J.

Discussion of Troy-Castro's classic prose? The Master Planner and the Sinister Six? YouTube links of the above?!

(pees pants in excitement)

Whoops, I need to clean the chair up, excuse me :otto:

I ask again-does anyone not love Castro's work?
People who haven't read it don't count.

Told ya, Chris, we're all big fans of them in here. He really made Doc Ock the villain of the piece among the Six. The other were all fantastic, too, but he made Ock a notch above the others, as he should be.

Don't read this, Spider-ManHero12, because it's a spoiler about the books, and you don't want to spoil yourself before you've read these babies:
I looooove how Doc Ock was wise to the fact that the Gentleman had booby trapped Ock's tentacles before he returned them to Ock. And how Ock was wise to the Gentleman's forthcoming betrayl, and was totally prepared for all of it. Brilliant.

That final showdown on the plane in the third book rocked my socks.

That was hella cool. But my ex thought it was a dumb move on the Gentleman's part. Ock's tentacles tell him everything. (She was going by the movie, but there's still merit to it.) They probably tipped him off to the booby-trap the second they were reattached.
Like I said, possibly the best Ock story ever written it wasn't even a comic.

Your ex is right. It WAS a dumb move on the Gentleman's part. If he'd done any research about Ock's link with his tentacles, he'd know Ock feels them like he does his own flesh and blood arms.

Ock completely chastised the Gentleman for that. "Did you think I would not feel the devices you implanted in my tentacles? That I wouldn't feel their alien presences? I sensed them the moment you returned my arms to me. I told you how intimately linked I am to my arms. That I know them as well as I know my own flesh and blood arms. As soon as I was sure I was away from your watchful eye, I removed your devices from my arms. And you've foolishly been thinking you've had me over a barrell ever since"

Pwned, pwned PWNED!!!! :otto:

Classic Ock. If I could kidnap Castro & force him to write another one I would.

Are those Troy Castro books easy to find? Were the three sinister six books the only ones he's written? I might look into them. I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I'm just now kind of getting back into the groove of things, after one of my best friends just passed away recently. It's been a long and busy week.

Oh man, I'm very sorry to hear about your loss!

The Troy-Castro books are not availible in stores from what I've seen. Maybe the american bookstores have them, but here in Ireland I've never seen them.

I got all mine on-line. Ebay or Amazon would be your best bet.

My latest artwork to delight the masses! :otto:

LOLOLOLOL!!!

That's Brilliant, MP. My favourite one is the one pointing to his head and saying 'Plan for world domination' :funny:

I found my copy of "Secret" at the local antique/comic book store and checked out "Gathering" and "Revenge" at the local library :woot:

My favorite one is the arrow pointing to his stomach and saying "Oreos" :word:

I have to say they got the good Doctor visually spotless.

Those are some damn impressive Ock posters. Hate to say it, but its much more impressive than the SM1 Goblin poster.

Ock's pic has more atmosphere, menace.

That's for sure.

However, I was young when the first film came out, grade 8, and was naive enough to be thrilled in seeing GG. I mean I was expecting a lot better, but I was glad to finally see him for once in a magazine, internet not being a tool for me yet.

I was a sophomore in college when SM1 was filming and I was here on the Hype every day awaiting more news. Ah, good times.
