Also, Ock, FANTASTIC collection. ML Ock is such a beauty. I recently took another pic of mine. For those interested:

I love this pose, seeing how it's so far off the ground.

A recent addition to my Ock collection was the Spider-man 2 game on PSP (TOTALLY different to the console versions). Excellent game, first meeting with Ock he smacks you down and shuts the vault door on you, gas filling in. That Ock's got it all figured out.

You know I half considered getting a display case for my figures,statues and busts.I'm SICK of dusting them.I swear my bedroom is a dust magnet.It seems I only clean it,and like two days later there's dust again.

.... and here he is with flash.... and no, this isnt the slickest customization-job you'll ever see, but at least he has some tentacles. Anything beat what he had, which was zippo... I attached them to an epoxy-putty "backpack" and painted it black. He has a black-ribbon sash built into it, tied around his waist... which unfortunately obscures his "metal" waistband, but what can you do...? The fact that the tentacles are nowhere near "in-scale" with him does not help matters! They're way too big.

I put some metallic-silver "washes" over the tentacles, because they were just dull grey... he got some other minor touching-up, too.

Love this guy. Note how he is surrounded by Carnages, yet completely unfazed.

Once a week?? You're more regular than me.When I whip out the dust cloth and cleaning spray,I do the whole room.I have to.Everything from shelves,to my desk,to the TV,to the window frames......everything.Takes ages.But if a job's worth doing....

And yeah I have no room for a display case either.I store most of my comics and TPB's in boxes,as I need the shelves for my figures.The statues and busts have a separate stand near the window.

But I hate seeing dust on my magnificent Ock merchandise.I'd make room for a display case.

Ock is no stranger to building weapons of mass destruction.But one powered by a ruby is a new one lol.

Wow he looks so much better without that hideous water pack.Great job Sym I don't know what I'm going to do with mine.I'm considering super gluing the tentacles I cut off to something I can attach to Ock himself.

Still don't know what though.But I'll think of something.He needs the tentacles.Gah! Stupid water pack.What possessed them to give him such a ridiculous gimmick?? They must have thought "Oh he's Doctor Octopus.Octopus' live in water.Let's give him a water weapon"

I need to buy paint for statues and things of that nature.One or two of my figures could do with some colour touching up.

P.S. I love what you're doing with your figures there.You've got Carnage hanging out of the shelves and all.That's pretty cool

For stability, I have a piece of coathanger-wire running between the tentacles and the epoxy-putty, because I felt if I just -glued- them to something, they'd just pop right off; they're rather heavy. So now they're sort of all one piece with the "backpack."

If you want to mail your tentacles over here & don't mind waiting a few months, I'll be happy to assemble yours in a way which will be more sturdy than just gluing & ship 'em back; I have all the stuff to do it because I'm always pootling around with something that needs building/some kind of assembly. For friends, I work for free - it's not AT ALL a big deal, it's just I'll be back in school soon, and that's why I say "a few months."

Beware, beware! Busts are like potato chips: no one can have just one.
[Altho in all fairness I'm pretty picky, I only own 7. Spidey-related ones, I anyways. I own a few more differently-themed ones.]

My 13-year old niece is facing the same problem. Her little sister is about 2 now, and she loves to go into the niece's room while she's at school and just shred her anime TPBs and expensive magazines... and mom is not doing a thing to stop it. The niece is REALLY upset; she's fearing for the safety of her collectibles next. I am hoping her mom will let her put a hook-and-eye latch on the door, far out of the baby's reach. I don't see why not.

Then the Jokers and HQ better watch out.Although a villain war between Ock and Joker would be short indeed.Jokers bang flag gun and pistol would not be very helpful against Octavius.

So excuse that, I'm not ignoring you promise. I'm just not allowed to see stuff these days. For instance, I'm seeing this thread as having no new posts since the 28th, and I'd bet money that's not true. Or I'll be in Spoilers and see someone has added to a thread, but when I click on "last page" the last post is from about 2 days ago. Very freaky.
