"Well look at that. This thread has reached 1000 replies. Not that I'm surprised. The love for the great Doctor Octopus is strong indeed"

:p :D

Just thought I'd mark that milestone ;)

Oh Otto. You'd better have your pasty white ass return in SM3, or you'll break my heart. :(

Hey any Ock fans ever read Spider-Man: Parallel Lives by Gerry Conway?

It mainly focuses on Peter and Mary Jane's relationship through out the years, but Ock is the feature villain of the piece.

Theres a nice flashback scene with Ock right before the explosion, where his co-workers are discussing him, saying how brillient he is but that he is a bit of a loner and talks to no one.One co-worker even remarks how he invited Ock to dinner with him and his wife but Ock just said nothing and stared at him.

Marvel was surspose to reprint this given how how the movies main focus is on Peter and MJ's relationship, never happen though.Worth tracking down,Ock sports a new dark blue/black battle armor outfit in this.

Heh! I'd love to show Venom'sDad this.Otto Octavius was the most unsociable, arrogant loner there was. He'd rather work a 24 hour shift in the lab, than go to dinner with some fool and his wife :D

His co-workers respected him for his scientific genius. But disliked him for his unpleasant nature.

I want this novel. But I'm having a hard time tracking it down. There's another novel out there featuring Ock,but I can't remember the name of it.Something to do with drugs I think.

"Happy new year everyone.Let's talk alot more about me and my greatness in 2006"

:D

New Year's Felicitations, fellow criminal element. :)

[and I hated that green and orange outfit in the comics, myself. Of all his costumes that is my least favorite. Next to that mackie-era one, which was pretty mindboggling on its own - I need a scan. *rummages*]

I liked the mostly green one from issues #11-12 of ASM. Of the early ones those are probably my favorite. I do agree that Mackie's one was probably the worst I've ever seen. I honestly hate that guy and his stories.

Almost completely moved into my new room downstairs in our basement. Last things to go up are speakers and posters, and Ock stuff. I know exactly where Ock is going to hang up on the wall, too, in the left corner of the room so he stares down at my desk in the most snarl-licious way. It's gonna rock, a picture or two soon.

I also had this dream last night where I was walking around Walmart and found this new toy section where they had a new 18" Ultimate Ock figure. It was f**kin' SEXY. If toy manufacturers could come up with what I was holding in my hands in that dream, they'd blow every other figure out of the water. It was Ultimate Ock straight hopped out of a comic book page. Wearing his 'classic' white and green costume and sporting this nasty looking grin; his tentacles had to be put in seperately on his back instead of the front. I distinctly remember it being 24.99, too. And as I held it in my hands I wondered out loud if Stephen had seen it yet. :D

Then I found miniature Fraggles on the the shelf next to it and bought them too. (Fraggle Rock, dontcha know, was a Jim Henson production from eons ago when I was a wee tyke.)

.... Why must you tease us with visions of merchandise we will never have :(

Is it not enough that we have to live with the knowledge of Mediacom Venom and Carnage? Now this too. Someone from Marvel will read this and think "What a cool sounding Ultimate Ock figure! I'm gonna license that to the Japanese right NOW. Release in America? NO! ***Only*** the Japanese are worthy." And we'd have to pay $300 or do without.

 :(

I love his classic look.Sure it would most likely look ridiculous on screen, but in the comics I liked it.Not my fav Ock outfit, white armani is the best, but the green and orange spandex always had an undeniable charm for me.

Oh yay you're nearly done.

I am so jealous.I'd love to have a private room for all my fanboy stuff like my Spidey and Batman merchandise. My room is just not big enough. There's just too much great stuff out there. And my room ain't getting any bigger.

LOL! Nice :D

ML8 Ock and Ult Ock (minus the ugly waterpack),are the best Ock figures to date IMO.I love the movie figures too,but those are the best.

Imagine they brought out an Ult Ock figure with a bathrobe. How cool would that be :D

I remember Fraggle Rock.

Childhood fan right here :)

A black trench is nice Nick, but we can all agree that nothing beats the white armani:

And while I'm at the scanner,I thought I'd post a panel from good old Stan the man's days. Here Ock takes up residence in Aunt May's spare room.He figures it's the perfect place to hide out from the police, especially now that Spider-Man is dead (He thinks he destroyed him in the previous issue):

I like the way he packs :)

I always liked the way Doc looked as the way he did in Spider-Man 2 and in Ultimate Spider-Man. Just a coat, nice sunglasses and gigantic metal arms.

Continuing on......Peter decides to check in on Aunt May,after spending ALL NIGHT looking for Ock:

I love when Ock lays down the law to people :)

As for Aunt May,god she was so dizzy in those days.Bless her,the poor old dear would believe black was white if a charming enough guy said it to her.

Ult Ock with a bathrobe. Can you just see how many people would be scratching their heads over that one? :D "What the hell are they doing? Putting a super villain in his bathrobe?!" and then they figure out that his bathrobe comes OFF too and he's not wearing skivvies.

Which Fraggle was your favorite, if you had one. I was a Wembley fan, myself.

:( Why must we suffer so? I'm STILL waiting to see if that movie Molina was in will ever be released over here. That one where he had to bury that girl and he was a mortician. Shoot, what's it called. Anyway, yeah, it's like four years late.
