That

was

AWESOME!!!!

You have every on screen incarnation of Ock in there. Love it  :otto:

Not quite. Doc Ock appeared in the 80s solo Spider-Man show, Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends series and he actually made an appearance on the 80s Hulk animated series. I don't have any episodes from those shows. But that doesn't really matter. I could have only used Spider-Man 2 and Spectacular Spider-Man clips but there were some nice shots with the tentacles from the 90s show. Oh and the 60s shots are hilarious.

I'm getting sick of waiting. Especially with all this teaser footage!

I'm not watching it on the web till I see it on T.V. in the US. I'm weird like that. Which is why I stay away from the SSM Forums and conversations.

So, not only are we getting a huge Doc Ock story in which he's returned to his former glory but a big new Mysterio story as well?

Yeeeeeeeeeeesssss!!!

Watch out for the tentacles!

Oh man, seriously...the scene in the bank where the cop plants face on that railing...kills me every time! :lmao:

Again, nice work to both Spidey and M.P.. :woot:

I know this isn't much, but I guess it's a worth a mention. I was reading Deadpool: Suicide Kings issue #1 and at the end on a table in the Punisher's gun room, there is Ant Man's mask, movie Green Goblin's pumpkin bombs, and you guessed it, Ock's tentacle.

Oh yeah, I read it last night, too. That was cool.
I wonder when Punisher and Ock battled...if they ever did.

Great story, but Ock totally pwned the Punisher. He even injected him with a lethal poison. I have no idea how he got one of Ock's tentacles. Or one of Goblin's pumpkin bombs either.

The Punisher probably got a tentacle off that kid who later went on to become the Steel Spider. Ollie Osnick?

Greetings all,
I'm fairly new to the SSH boards. I'm a life-long Spidey fan but I think I actually find Doctor Octopus far more interesting. I've always felt that Otto was, and is, Spideys' one true arch-enemy. Partly because the whole Spidey/Green Goblin rivalry was dormant for 20 years and partly because it seemed so forced after they brought him back (Norman should've stayed dead). Octavius, however, is truly Peters' opposite number. Both are scientists who end up victims of failed experiments. Both are social outcasts, and both lose loved ones early in adulthood. Contrast Ottos' relationship with his father to the one Peter shares with his Uncle Ben. And Ottos' reaction to his fathers' death is the exact opposite of the devastation Peter feels after Ben dies.
My favorite Ock moment has to be in Spider-Man #19 (or it might be 18) at the beginning of Erik Larsens' Revenge of the Sinister Six arc. It's when Ock, with his recently rediscovered Adamantium tentacles, lays an epic excess of smackdown on the Hulk:
"You've got no leverage, my arms are unbreakable and their power source is virtually limitless. You'll not be winning this one."

Oh, no, no, no, no. To say Ock owned the Punisher is an astounding understatement. Ock kicked the crap out of the Punisher while he was talking to the Mayor of New York on the phone! Epic awesome humiliating defeat. Now if we could just see Otto do the same to Wolverine...

I remember that; I think Ock didn't even bother looking at Castle when he poisoned him.

I don't see how; Ock doesn't have the adamantium tentacles anymore, (as far as I know) so Wolverine could slice his way through.

Simple, Ock grabs Logan with a tentacle, heads over to the nearest body of water and holds Wolverine under until he drowns. All the healing factor in the world won't help against lungs full of water.

The only way I see that working is if Ock grabs Logan's wrists and ankles, otherwise he'll just slice right through the tentacle before Otto has a chance to get him to water.
