Well, I've got some news about the six tentacles thing. This is straight from Dan Slott himself:
Two of those tentacles are skrulls. So Ock still has his standard four tentacle quota.

Are we all happy now? :oldrazz:

Those sneaky bastards! :cmad:

:o

Although some people think he was joking when he said that...

Well, I saw a Wizard Magazine article mentioning how Quesada put a twitter post on how he was being interviewed and would his fans please give him some suggestions as to some made up "facts" he could tell said reporter?

So, I wouldn't be surprised if he just wanted to screw with us... :cmad:

This is definitely one of variant covers for ASM #600:

I can't scrap up the will to look away.

One new pic and an improved one:

That Alex Ross cover looks incongruous to me. Spidey looks all but photo-real, while the tentacles remind me of nineties-era comic paintings. Cool plushies, though.

He's totally messing with us. He posts on the Hype occasionally in the Marvel forums. He is totally playing with us. Keeping us guessing :csad:

I love your avvy, Wabbit

Posted this in the Comics forum but I know some on here to go there so,,,

Got this from Slott's forum at jinxworld.com.

Issue #600 of Amazing Spider-Man will be a huge, massive issue. According to the panel, Marvel is doing something that no one has done before, which is to do a super-sized issue that has a 60-page lead story written by Dan Slott and drawn by John Romita, Jr. In addition to that, there will be numerous 5-page stories by the rest of the Spider-Man writers. Then, also, there will be a 10-page story from Stan Lee himself. It will be a 104-page comic of all new material for only $4.99, and the story will thrust Spider-Man into his next year.

Wow, what is going on in that picture? Ok, obviously Spidey and DD are clobbering a bunch of guys. Very strangely dressed guys, too.

And is that a big octopus I see behind Daredevil?

Eh...I still can't reconcile myself to the rumors, but I did give an artist's rendering of what it might be like when I was waiting for the optometrist to get around to me...

Oh, and my best online friend, who is currently suffering from lack of internet access (i.e., the fate worse than death), has received the Alex Ross cover and news of the rumors from Yours Truly, and has asked me to pass on her thoughts on that matter to the Ottophiles on the SHH and Sony Lairs. Most of her thoughts, however, are unprintable on an all-ages forum.

These six tentacled pics of Ock keep reaffirming my faith in this idea. I love the look of it. I simply cannot wait to see Romita Jr's design of it.

When you put it that way... We can still keep calling him Doc Ock

Another question: What are Aunt May's likely feelings toward Otto post-One More Day? From the Nullifier Arc on she seemed to really care about him, only regretting her involvement with him after she found out her nephew's secret identity. (Also, after Otto found out, he claimed during his attack on the high school that Peter "and his aunt" were laughing at him.) Now that no one knows that anymore, does she still have that antipathy toward him?

Wow, nice!

Sorry to sound like such a noob, but what versions of Ock are the last two plushies supposed to be? (business suit with tie and white bathrobe)

Well, if they've erased everyone's minds then May would not know Ock was a villain. She only learned that in the Carlyle arc, when she knew Peter was Spider-Man.

Hi there. No such thing as noob questions in here. To answer your questions, the business suit is from various suits he wore in the 90's. He had several ones of different colours like white, brown, and black. And the Bathrobe is from the Hollywood arc in Ultimate Spider-Man:

Don't forget, Otto 616 also wore a green suit with an orange ascot. So the suit colors he wore were: green, white, brown, and black.

I like the suits. The costumes never really worked for me-except Ultimate.

Right you are, brian:

Great drawing, MP

Something I've always wondered about that top panel: Is Ock impaling the old man as well as the robot? It seems like it but the angle of the rendering makes it ambiguous. Either way...ouch!
