If you're looking to get the highest quality clips available, try using a program like
DVD Decrypter or
DVD Shrink (both are free) to rip video directly from a DVD to your hard drive. I've been using Decrypter for a while and can vouch for its reliability (though you may want to look into Shrink as it has more features). Try that in conjunction with the
Any Video Converter application that Spidey suggested and you should be all set to go.
Of course if you just want to go the easy route try a YouTube download site like
Keepvid. There are even sites like
Vid Downloader and
Zamzar that convert the video for you so you wont have to download a separate app to convert the FLV files.
For computer safety and legal reasons I strongly recommend against using torrents.
