World Doc Ock's lair

Just got back from watching Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2. They're both great movies with terrific villains! Now I can't decide which movie is better. They're both great but they both have a couple of flaws some of those are really annoying but I love the films. And I tried to watch Spider-Man 3 but turned it off after 10 minutes. Ugh, I can't stand that film. Let's hope Spider-Man 4 is as great as SM and SM2!

But I think the reason Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 are so great is because they have the best Spider-Man villains. Go Gobby and Ock! :gg::bomb::otto:

Couldn't agree more.

I tried to watch Spider-Man 3 a few weeks ago, and I turned it off after 20 minutes. I just can't watch it anymore. The movie is just a mess.

Spider-Man 1 and 2 have a much more natural flow. The villains have an actual story, and are not crowded out by other villains competing for screen time.

This is a video I made with Doc Ock with Spectacular Spider-Man clips:

Man, that was AWESOME!!!

Love how you ended it with the scene where Ock says "Then L.Thompson Lincon is WEAK!!!!" And then tosses Tombstone.

Love it!

Thanks. And one with Gobby will be uploaded soon. I'll post it at his thread.

Spidey 3 had good villains, but they weren't used well. Just like the plot. Spidey 1 and 2 were used well. Also, Spidey 3 was a third installment. Unfortunately most 3rd installments of movies blow.

Well, to be fair, I liked Revenge of the Sith far better than The Phantom Menace or Attack of the Clones. :word:

Star Wars was different. Star Wars is just epic awesome, though I don't get why everyone, even uber fans, of it bash the prequels I like how they established Vader's tragic character.

For some reason, every time I see Ock break someone's kneck, it brings a smile to my face. Is there something wrong with me, lol? I just love it.

No, that just means your sadistic side is amused. Been there, embraced that, and your inner sadist will be amused for awhile while you watch those Jack-ass movies.

Ah, the holidays! Time for chocolate, presents, and the Master Planner posting a fanpic allowing me to unleash my more sadistic urges, particularly on Spider-Man. In this, Carolyn Trainer hopes to impress her mentor Otto Octavius with a special present! :word:

(My original idea was to have Stunner do the honors but she was in the Christmas pic. Besides, Carolyn's hair is so much more seasonal! :woot:)

I see it, and it's funny and cool at the same time.

I know, it's a terrible joke :hehe:

OH MY GOD, check out the latest interview with Dan Slott. Just read what he says about Doc Ock in ASM #600:

DS: Coming up on #600, I get to work with John Romita Jr. on a big Doc Ock story. Awesome! And in the not too distant future, I’ll get to do some Mysterio with Marcos Martin. Both of those assignments are dreams come true.

NRAMA: When you’re talking about bringing those characters back, given how long they’ve been offstage and the fresh shine you’ve put on Spider-Man, does it lead you to take a few more minutes of time and sit down and really make sure Doc Ock or Mysterio fits into the world and is the best Doc Ock or Mysterio that you can have?

DS: Yep. This was always the game plan – working towards the strength of Season Two – let’s take all these classic characters off the map for a while, because too many people had been using them as punching bags. If we had kicked off the new run on Spider-Man by pulling out the regular villains left and right, it would have just been yet another Doc Ock story and yet another Vulture story. Now, there’s a mystery. Now there’s a build up!

By the time I’m done with Doc Ock, I want him to be on the level of a Doctor Doom. I want to really increase his threat level to the point that this is a serious, serious, serious bad guy. But yeah, overall, this time away is a chance to look at all these well-known characters with a fresh set of eyes, to make them important again, and give them weight.

Now if that doesn't make you Octavians pee your pants in excitement, then I don't know what will :oldrazz: I am so HYPED for this story. Thank god ASM is going three times a month right now.

Watch out for the tentacles!

That

was

AWESOME!!!!

You have every on screen incarnation of Ock in there. Love it  :otto:

Yeah, I just read that last line and was about to post it in here. I'm really excited for #600. Hopefully it's as big as they are hyping it to be. It sounds like it's going to be a huge issue.

I know, I am so psyched for it now after reading that interview. Now we have some idea of the nature of Doc Ock's story in #600.

Dr Doom level villain. Sounds like Ock is going to be up to some SERIOUSLY huge evil antics in it. That's amazing. Long overdue.
