Apologies for not being around lately to add important things like smart ass comments and mindless chatter about Ock's sweet white robe; it's been a very busy past two weeks for me with work hours and trying to get through Christmas shopping and making up cards and every damn thing else.

I want a talking Ultimate Ock bobble head. But he'd say things that would belong in an X rated movie.

We missed your mindless chatter and smart ass comments about Ock's white robe and his other wonderful attributes.They are one of the main foundations of this thread.Never stop doing them

I figured you were busy with thanksgiving etc,but when Boy Genius recieved no update this week,I was worried But all is well now.

As for the pic Sym posted,I'll let her explain what was going on there.I know Carolyn wearing the tentacles upsets you,but we all know she willingly gives them back to Ock because she worships the ground he walks on.

I mean absolutely NO disrespect to women,but did they really think they could give us a female Ock on a permanent basis?? Hell no.She merely kept the tentacles warm so to speak til Octavius himself returned.

I really do not remember what was even going on in that scan... wait, Spidey, Captain America, Nick Fury and DD were standing around on a street while Fury was blabbing on his cell-phone, Cap is explaining to the rest of the crowd how Carolyn and Hobgoblin ambushed him in from of his apt. when *BOOM*- there's a huge explosion and then all those villains are, staring down Our Intrepid Heros.

Much ado about nothing, I thought. Sweet artwork, though.

And one could say that the ONLY reason Carolyn had those tentacles was to facilitate Ock's return. She was very single-minded about that.

Now that S is back, I am forced to re-ponder whether or not I should post The Artwork [Ock knows what I'm talking about.] Because she just might kill me...

[I am forced to admit I want both the Carnage and the U. Ock bobblehead... and I hate bobbleheads. Those are just too cool, though.]

Would you let a leper wear your undies if he worshipped the ground you walk on? Would you let someone with nits use your comb if he thought you were the best thing since sliced bread? I didn't think so.

Why Otto didn't rip her head off when he discovered she'd stunk up his appenages is beyond me. It's not like he's a compassionate, merciful person, and you know how he flipped **** in Year One when he had his glasses taken from him - can you imagine how Year One!Ock would have reacted to having some **** come along and take his actuators for a spin? Christ, it would have been an R-rated comic for violence and innappropriate language. (I would have loved it.)

How's Sandman holding up these days? Has he gotten any less interesting than when we first heard about him?

You make an excellent point there.Ock has never been a man for sharing anything,least of all his precious tentacles.

I think the fact Carolyn was useful to him,that was her saving grace.If Ock has no use for you,then you best not be around him!!!

Your problem is, it's apparent to anyone reading the arcs in question that not only does she esteem Ock, he also holds her in high regard. Kinda blows that one-sided hero-worship theory out of the water. That's not my interpretation, it's right there in the books for anyone to see.

Ugh, I'm bored and I've had a rubbish day... so I thought I'd cheer myself up with some scanning (I entertain myself in weird ways). This issue (well part of it anyway) is final part the Ock story I posted back in the old thread. The last issue I scanned there, Ock had escaped after Spider-man foiled his plans once more. At the start of this issue, we find he has built a robot army.
Spider-man himself struggles to destroy just one of these robots and so calls upon the X-men, the Avengers and the Fantastic Four to aid him. And here we get...

Now how cool is that? The majority of heros from the Marvel universe and they still can't beat Ock's army. up:

Sure is. Although it leaves out many explinations such as how Carnage and Venom came back etc. But hey, its aimed at all ages, can't expect it to get too technical
