another satisfying conclusion to the Zygon two-parter... the entirety of series 9 has been just simply phenomenal... quite a pleasant and welcome surprise from series 8... Doctor Who stories seems to have gotten rejuvenated, so let's hope it can continue with the remaining 4 episodes as well as the Christmas special...

Viewers have vented their fury at the BBC after last night's episode of Doctor Who showed a plane being shot out of the sky by a missile - just a week after 224 people were killed in the Russian jet tragedy.
Fans took to social media to say the timing of the episode was 'insensitive' given the suspected terror attack on the Russian Metrojet, which left the holiday resort of Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt, killing all on board

It also comes just days after Britain and the US indicated that Islamist terrorists could have brought down the jet, which was en route to St Petersburg in Russia, with a bomb.

Yeah what happened is terrible, but its a coincidence and not the shows fault, people need to grow thicker skin and not get angry about these coincidences, because a coincidence is all it is.

What I find strange is last year BBC edited "Robot's Of Sherwood" because of a beheading that took place days before.


Did they not have enough time to make an edit this year?

Haven't seen the episode yet so I can't say how much that would have affected the story. Sometimes you can edit out a scene or cut it to a minimal impact and sometimes it's just impossible.

Stop letting Gatiss write eps. It was so bad. They could have given that one slot to a newbie to make something clever.

The worst ep this season so far imo. A 'found footage' type story with the Doctor could have worked well but I don't think this attempt worked. The 'Sandmen' were not really scary at all and the supposed fake out 'punchline' made no sense to me.

Maybe another viewing would help on the latter point but can't say I would want to sit through this one again in any hurry.

On the plus side the 1st person view of the soldiers holding up their guns creeping down the corridors did bring back fond memories of playing the original 'Aliens Vs Predator' game ages ago. That's about all the good I can say of it.

Eye mucas monsters? The show can do so much better than that, this episode really should've gone full horror as well, it just wasn't scary enough for the concept it was trying to pull off. Definitely my least favorite episode of the season, I did like the twist with where the footage was coming from, though it was kinda predictable.

Tbh, personally I hate those granny hump Daleks. Glad we have not seen bugger all of them since they were introduced.
