Doctor Who - Not a Hugging Type of Thread

The Doctor had been railing away at him for the last day or two, I was actually cheering Danny on when he landed those hits.

I don't like how the Doctor treated Danny Pink. It was really obnoxious and unlikeable.

What did the Doctor say in Time Heist? I hate myself.

The Doctor just hates soldiers cause having them around will turn him into the War Doctor. A companion is supposed to be his conscience.

Danny was obviously trying to push 12's buttons and prove a point. I would've kicked him out too, though.

Tonight. ABC. Be there. :argh:

Nah.

As much as I like Karen Gillan, the show looks like ****.

Never realized, that lady is hotttttttt!!!!!!

But so is Clara

that's funny as hell... bet Peter never thought in his wildest dreams at age 21, that he was gonna wind up as the Doctor... love how he was so embarrassed by it all in this vid...

I remember the Doctor treating Mickey like crap as well.

I never paid attention to it much because I couldn't stand Mickey. :o

Hey guys can anyone help me out with this? I want to introduce this to a friend, but I want him to get to the 50th and 'Time' in a short amount of time so the way I thought up to do this was to list episodes that falls in the following categories:

First set: Single, 'non-arc' episodes that were referenced by the 50th like The Shakespeare Code and Blink.
Second Set: Episodes that deals with the main arc of each season: Bad Wolf (this also belongs to the first set), Torchwood, Medusa Cascade, Tenth Doctor's "Death", Cracks, Silence, and Clara.
Third Set (Optional, but still important): Great episodes that doesn't fit in the first two set like The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances episodes.
Fourth Set (Optional): Recommended Classic Who Episodes though I think I already have a list for this.

I like to think that when the Doctor said he doesn't understand how a soldier could be a math teacher, Alistair's eyes rolled in his grave.

Kill The Moon has received top reviews. It's meant to be an atmospheric/scary one with a controversial moment apparently. Can't wait, should rival Listen hopefully.

And good ol' Chunky Gilmore

Isn't UNIT supposed to be a scientific inclined army?

I think the Doctor thinks of Danny as just a grunt soldier.

Lethbridge-Stewart as a maths teacher in MAWDRYN UNDEAD didn't make much sense to be honest. Especially considering Ian Chesterton was the character it was originally meant for.

There isn't really anything to refute the idea of Alistair being a capable mathematician. Don't officers in the military usually tend to be educated? Alistair and Mike were both officers and sounded pretty posh, so there's a good chance they both had degrees in something, but you'd never know. Half of all companions in Doctor Who are experts in something, but most writers can't be bothered to use that. Harry, Martha, and Rory were all medical professionals (a surgeon, a med student--then internal medicine, and a nurse), but you can count the number of applied bandages between the three of them with one hand.

Didn't the Third Doctor say something about military intelligence being an oxymoron?

Pretty much every Doctor has had an aversion to military types with the Brig (plus a couple other UNIT guys) and Kate being the exception.

The Doctor is a big hypocrit (in general, but also when it comes to the military). He hates the military, except for when it suits him.

If you give him a troop of soldiers under his direct command, he won't say a word. He'll insult and condescend an officer until he needs their help (he should be damned grateful Alistair shrugged off his constant insults and rolled his eyes all the time, because the Doctor could be needlessly brutal). He talks about how he hates weapons, but he keeps plenty of them stashed away (as do his companions, sometimes).

Plus him shooting an Ogron in Day of the Daleks with it's own gun.
