that was an incredibly fun episode 6! :D

and a great intro of Danny into #TeamTardis. too bad the Doctor doesnt like him much lol!

the whole alien distraction seems to be just that-- a distraction, for things that seems more like a set-up for more significant eps. Danny being clearly one, but more so the relationship building between him and Clara, seems like they've made a lot more progress on that with this ep than any other ep (which i guess gives more proof over those Jenna rumors).

dont quite understand what Courtney is there for though, other than its fun watching her and for once she doesnt have anything smart coming out of her mouth (spillage though thats another matter :funny: )

and Nethersphere is finally mentioned formally! wasnt quite sure what was going on in the last bit in the end until Evil Mary Poppins showed up. but gosh when they are finally ready to show that plot of its gonna be awesome i can feel it

First Tegan

The pertwee comparisons just won't stop

I really hope Tegan and Jo are actually in episodes. I haven't seen The Caretaker, but Chatterton better be in it.

I find the romantic sub plot to be embarrassing and dull.

That said, Capaldi is brilliant, and the new companion felt like a breath of fresh air.

The 12th Doctor, soon to be travelling with 2 teachers and a child.

I hadn't thought of that! I wouldn't mind losing the teachers at this stage, however.

Did Clara say Blorgons when she was talking about The Doctor and Jane Austen.

Not as good as The Lodger or Closing Time, but a pretty good episode, I enjoyed it. A real character driven one. I got goosebumps when a variation of 'A Mad Man With A Box' played. Also picked up on the River Song reference, and 12 thinking Clara was dating a 11th Doctor lookalike was funny too. Capaldi continues to impress, and we saw him get properly angry at times, but not too one note. There's enough colour in the performance, and grounding - Danny's explanation of 12 wanting him to be worthy of Clara.

hey, what WAS that incredible leap and flip that Danny did when the alien robot attacked him?... you don't usually see a stunt like that on Doctor Who...

come ON, already... :whatever:

They should give 'thing' a rest. They overdid it here.

Anyone catch 12 whistling Pink Floyd - We don't need no education

I'm not sure what I thought of that episode.

It started off good with Clara and Doctor and Clara with Danny but once they all ended up shouting at each other it lost some of its charm.

It reminded me of when 1 and Ian would go back and forth with each other, but 12 and Danny are yelling at each other in a more antagonistic way.

Liked the Netherspeare sequence.

I not sure I want to see a whole season of Danny, Clara, and the Doctor.

I did enjoy 12's "there's an assembly. Go worship something.":woot:

And him thinking Clara was into bow tie dude.

Yeah. But I will settle for 12 & Courtney. She reminded me of how Ace was in the beginning

this is what I think how this thing will end for Clara if she leaves... Danny is so protective of Clara and does not like the Doctor... and the Doctor doesn't like him, either... I think sooner or later, something dangerous that the Doctor involves Clara with is going to get on the wrong side of Danny... after a few episodes of danger, it's finally going to be too much for Danny to accept after a short amount of time and Danny will tell his feelings about it all to Clara... I think Danny and Clara will get closer and finally Danny will ask Clara to make a choice between him or the Doctor, as he is too worried for her safety... and Clara will realise that it's not fair to Danny and will ultimately go back to Earth with Danny and leave the Doctor, explaining it all to him... just MY opinion... and if Courtney is still with the Doctor, then it'll be just those two, until a newer companion comes along... unless the Doctor realises that he's placing a child in danger, as well, and will drop her off with Danny and Clara, as well... I think THAT'S what might happen in the Christmas special...

Not like he's done that before (Hi, Vicki, Dodo, Victoria, Zoe, Adric, Nyssa, Ace and the Maitland kids Clara was governing)
