Comics Doesn't anyone else read Spider-Girl??

Question of my own, was Roddy in prison when the Scriers found him or did they get a bounty hunter to put him there? I had trouble understanding that aspect
I never got the feeling that the Sciers had anything to do with his capture, i think they just kept tabs on everything Spider-related, and being that Hobby was hated by old man Osborn- i see WHY they did. Also, remember what he said to Roddy with regards to Normie refusing to take on the mantle of the Goblin legacy, they were highly PISSED, and hiring him was probably their LAST resort to a "Goblin" period.

anyone think they're gonna cancel it at issue 100?
Welcome Regalredstar! Unfortunately, Marvel has sent out the official word that the book will end with issue 100. But we are still writting letters, and flooding their offices with letters in hopes of a relaunch of the title. Nothing has been set in stone yet, so if you're really into Spider-Girl, or just getting into the comic- we HIGHLY encourage you to join with us by sending them a letter or two. That is of course, if you really like what you've read so far!

Wouldn't be posting on this tread if i didn't. LOL Optimistic thought: She-Hulk has been cancelled and restarted no less than 4 times so maybe they'll restart Spider-Girl too! (oh yes and my local comic shop is driving me nuts since it stopped ordering Spider-Girl at issue 43!)

Well we're all crossing our collective fingers with the hopes of a relaunch! And sorry to hear that your comic shop shafted you by canceling their orders of Spider-Girl! That really bites! I do hope however, you were able to continue collecting by..... subscribing to the book maybe?? At anyrate, it's good to have you aboard!

Spoilers for anyone who wants/needs them

Basically the issue starts off where we ended in the preview as Roddy is given his "list" of people hes going to destory before he takes out Spider Girl. However one condition is that Kaine must be taken alive (most likely due to his involvement in retiriving May from the Scriers all those years ago. May does her thing at school, inadvertantly angering Mooses girlfriend due to their constant talks. Meanwhile Roddy finds the Ladyhawks, than after anhilating them, he finds the Buzz and does the same. Peter has heard about Hobby being back, and frantically tells her not to be in costume, however May hangs up on in, just in time for her to recieve a call from Hobgoblin, who after kicking Raptors teeth in uses her cell to call May. He tells her to show up at the park and informs her that they wont be alone. May shows up and runs into Normie. The lighthearted ness of the story quickly changes when they notice all four of their friends "crucified" on the fence opposite them.

To be continued

Anyway, judging from the events of this issue I'm going to put my money on
Kaine
being the one to bite the dust in Issue 100 the
dialouge with the Scriers and his training with Normie make me almost positive about this assumption. However I'm not really that bumbed out, seeing as a comic book death is meaningless, and Kaine is a clone to boot. Hopefully Defalco gives him a send off worthy of the character

YESSIR! If i'm not mistakened, you can PRE-ORDER it now over at Amazon, or on the official Spider-Girl message board. Also, hit up Ebay to see about back issues, or some other comic website.

The sixth digest will be in comic shops June 7!

So will we EVER find out if Davida is one of the Ladyhawks!?? Man! This issue was a THRILLER indeed-
but i don't think Kaine is the one whose to die though. I believe it's probably gonna be Normie.
Just my opinion- i could be wrong!

It's not looking good. If Davida was at school at the same time the Ladyhawks were doing something else across town .... man! That stinks.

man 98 was kick ass i cant believe hobby had it in him to take four of spidergirls friends down. i like how the issue ended tho with spider girl and norman both in black.

Welcome MC2Spiderman! And yes- the issue was ALL THAT! I seriously can't wait for the next issue, but yet when i think of #99- i feel a bit sadden in knowing that 100 will the last issue........for the time being. I still feel good about Spider-Girl's future though, but enough of that- yeah man, Tom and crew are delivering the goods with the closing of this arc!!

But i just KNEW she was the OTHER twin! She and Spider-Girl got along so well- just like May and Davida's friendship at school. Ugh. Not that i'm GLAD Davida's could be in trouble- i just always assumed she was secertly one of the LadyHawks.

Just read # 98 last night. Holy crap we're really starting to get into the nitty gritty. Mr. Defalco certainly is not pulling any punches. The Scriers, Black Tarantula, Hobgoblin, Pete found out about the Venom symbiote...whew...Mayday has here back SERIOUSLY against the wall. And lets not forget Moose looking for consoling from May...and now Courtney is pissed at her.

I really like how Defalco is showing Peter being tough on May about being Spider-Man but meanwhile when he was her age he was making those same mistakes. Just a neat 180 to me.

And Hobgoblin is truly bad ass. If this doesn't, somehow, get some writers to bring back Kingsley in the regular universe then I don't know what it's going to take.

But I'm pumped and as the series closes it's looking worse and worse for Spider-Girl.

SpideyInATree, if i were Stan "The Man" Lee- i'd HAVE to give you a "No Prize" for such an excellent post! Your post made me excited to wannna read the comic again!! Well done!

Alright... stupid question time:

ARE THE FOUR OF THEM DEAD?! Because dead would take some serious balls!

I think there just seriously beaten the **** up. Defalco doesn't like to kill his characters

Uh yeah....what HE said! The Ladyhawks don't have any superhuman strength, or abilities- they're just great hand-to-hand combants. And Raptor definitely has no power either! So that against a guy "juiced-up" on Goblin serum!? @ss-kickin'.
