Comics Doesn't anyone else read Spider-Girl??

If these final numbers will determine a re-launch, how can we guarantee the same numbers unless every one who is paying for multiple copies keep on buying multiple copies?

:(

Yeah so, I just DON'T know how Issue 100 could play out, the final page of 99 was pretty uh... final?

Was she wearin' that costume in th' vision? Coulda sworn it was th' classic.

So that might mean either someone screwed up, or th' vision has been altered.

Hopefully Defalco has thought of a better way out than the usual bullet proof vest defence :D

Would a bulletproof vest still show the other end of the "bullet" jamming out the other side??

I have no idea how this is going to end...and I LOVE that!

Wow. This is going to be some finale!!

I was kidding guy's, the idea of the vest exhibiting that kind of elasticity is just ludacris :D

Yea, cause not only would the vest have to be elastic, so would
her chest
I doubt the she also has the powers of Reed.

Don't stress bro, i truly believe that every Spider-Girl supporter is buying mutiple copies already- so we'll know what the good word is soon enough. Damn, i made it to the comic shop only to realize i DIDN'T have enough money in my ccount to pay for all my blasted comics today! (LOL!) So i'll be picking mine up tomorrow! I can hardly stand it any longer, and dared not open the book while at the counter to spoil myself either- but based off y'all's reaction i wish i HAD!! Tomorrow can't get here fast enough!!

Except for some of his 80's Spider-man stuff, I've found DeFalco's writing to be atrocious (ex: most of the MC2 line, ESPECIALLY Fantastic Four). I've been reading the Hobgoblin arc here and... it's good? With the exception of the Normie/Raptor interaction and maybe 3 lines of dialogue from Hobby, it's actually been... good. Hobgoblin has actually been intelligent and dangerous, with and without the Scriers, one of the holdovers from the Clone Sage, which I've always hated.

I never thought I'd say this, but... Marvel needs to look to Spider-girl for how to do Spider-man now. They also need to get a clue that the current GG sucks and that all attempts at revamping his costume doesn't work, and neither does Norman himself. The Hobgoblin, on the otherhand, works QUITE well as shown by this arc.

I think Marvel needs to look to Spider-Girl to see how they should do a lot of books right now, if they want to have readers 10 years from now. They're catering too much to the comic-shop junkies and they're not attracting any younger readers.

Spider-Girl is an all-ages title in the best sense of the term, and if she gets a relaunch, I hope Marvel does its best to get her monthly title in more mainstream outlets, such as Borders and Barnes & Noble.

BTW- i'm hoping for a TRIPLE-SIZED finale to this whole arc! Again, there's too much good stuff goin' on for it to just be a regular sized issue!

I think the plan announced way back before the cancellation nonsense started still stands. The 100th issue will have a double-sized story, plus two "classic" stories voted on by the fans.

Tom polled us on the Spider-Girl Message Board way back in the fall.

Damn. #99 was pretty intense. Waiting another month for the next ish is gonna be hell. #100 should be great. Hopefully, there's more after that; continuation or relaunch, I don't care, just bring it.

If you really really want to know;

1. She's stabbed by a random Scrier while being assaulted by about 50 of them
2. Kaine pops up at the last second to help her with Hobgoblin. As soon as he shows up the 50 Scriers show up to take on him and Spider-girl
3. Unfortunately, nobody. While DeFalco decided to make Hobgoblin extremely hardcore, for some reason he left all of his "victimes" alive.

did hobgoblin attempt to kill them tho? or did he just beat them up and wasnt that bothered with them? i always thought MC2 was full of second rate heroes and villains so its good to see a proper Goblin back and kicking ass. did he show up in 97 agen wasnt it? i might try and get the last 4issues then. for poops and giggles

He first shows up in issue 97. Start from their, I gurantee, you'll like this book

Hobby beat them pretty severly, then he went and strung them up on a fence in the middle of nowhere. He then called May and Normie on Raptor's cell phone and told them where to find the people he trashed. If there's a reason he let them live, it hasn't been given yet. If they were that beat up, he could have just shot them, blew them up, or even given them a good neck-breaking.

so it was more of a message to SG and Normie? Also, i understand Normie has the sybiote under control - does he just look like venom then? or is there anything more goblinesque? plus, did normie ever take the goblin formula? cos then he'd be suped up majorly

Ive been loving Hobgoblin's return so far. So great seeing Kingsley kicking ass and taking names again...

The only thing that would have made this current storyline better, is if he HAD really killed Raptor, The Buzz, and The Ladyhawkes...i realize that this is more or less an All Ages book, but to me, that would have given Hobby's return far more wright than just a simple beat down.

Other than that, it's been perfect so far, imo.
