Comics Doesn't anyone else read Spider-Girl??

With my digital camera, I was able to snag about 40 minutes of VIDEO of the Appreciation Panel. I also got about 15 minutes or so of autograph sessions and private questions with the rest of the crew (including a 7 minute segment showing Sal doing a sketch for me). I'm not a videographer, so there's some camera wobble. The sound is not the greatest, but you can still make out what's being said.

I'd like for everybody that's interested to get a copy, but at over 600 mb totaled I can't post it on the internet myself. Is there anybody out there who knows enough to clean up sound, slice up a ".mov" file into downloadable sections, and is willing to host it?
Damn! I'm sorry that i can't be of much help in this regard Jarkoer, but i'm hoping that someone here will stumble on this post and lend a hand, 'cuz i'd like to see that footage! As a matter of fact, i'll ask a few people here if they could assist you with this. Can anybody help??!! Just kidding, i'll go ask....

I went ahead and read Andrea Seeds' review, and i have to say that i really couldn't understand what the heck she she really! I didn't know if she forgot to edit the typos', but overall, if she gave the book a 3.5 out of 5- which basiclly means a solid 4 of 5. Plus i couldn't help but laugh on her comments on Ron's artwork, "jutting hips", and "sulken cheeks"! We love you Ron- regardless!

One last thing- Jeffers managed to host an audio feed from the panel, so if you guys are interested, head on over to the Spider-Girl Message Board now! It's awesome to hear Tom, Pat, and Ron discuss how things came about for the MC2 line! Jeffers, you the MAN!!

Tweren't nothing. :)

Ya know, i missed the discussions we used to have here after every issue, and if anyone has any input they'd like to add that would be helpful in this endeavor, please post it. I really want to being the fun back to our thread. So any sugeestions are welcomed.

Well you are the man, i'm just lucky enough to post after you! One question though Jefferes, would it be asking to much to post some of the photos of the Comic-Con last week in here? Thanks.

I just re-read my last post, and i noticed that i spelled Jeffers all wrong! My bad Jeffers! I was also thinking about writting another Spider-Girl short as well, so keep checking in to see what's to come!

I'm back! Still reading Spider-Girl of course. I haven't posted in a while because of problems with my password. The password is always some crazy code and it keeps getting deleted and for some reason I wasn't able to reset it right for a while. Now it's working but I wish I could make the password myself.

Anyway, how's everything here. I heard Spider-Girl is safe until issue 100 which is fantastic news.

Welcome back CK! I remember having the same problem, but fortunately for me, i was able create my own password, and have been password trouble-free since! Anyway, i picked up the latest issue of Spider-Girl, and it was pretty good. After reading it three times, i'm awaiting to see where Tom is going to take this story arc, and the involvement of the other Marvel Heroes. I'll wait for others to post to see if they've read the newest issue before posting all my thoughts on it. I'll be back later....

And i'm back, but not with those spoilers! Friday's the day people! And ya better be ready!

As good as ever.
Cool, but do you mean the latest issue of Spider-Girl, or Spider-Girl in general? Either way, thanks for posting Wolvie 25th! Oh, and happy anniversary??? I only said that because of the whole 25th thing....if not, sorry.....

Something I always thought was weird about the MC2 universe was that a lot of the Mu's biggest heroes had daughters, but I can't think of one who had a son who carries on the heroic legacy.

Thanks for your post Rigel7! You know, i never thought of that, but there are a few sons carrying on their fathers' legacy: J2, Franklin Richards, Normie Osborn (soon to be on another criminal relapse!), Ben Parker (again, soon to be following in his big sis, and dad's websteps!), Jacob Grimm (the Thing's son), Torus (the Human Torch's son), and Jessica Drew's son, i forgot his name, but he was Spider-Man for a short period in the Spider-Girl Universe.

Sort of along those lines, I saw a question like this on the Alvaro SG board a couple of years ago. I made up a list about a year ago of all the male and all the female heroes who are (or were at one point) active in the MC2. The guys actually outnumber the girls, but I guess since we're seeing all this through Spider-Girl's eyes -- she being a girl -- that she'd probably hang out mostly with other girls. Kinda like the way guys hang out with other guys? I don't know.

Females --

Spider-Girl
Stinger
Ladyhawk (x2)
American Dream
Rad (Alyce Grimm)
Bluestreak
Black Light
Jubilee
Lyja Storm
Sue Storm
Wild Thing
Magneta
Elektra (mostly retired)
Spanner
Raptor
Jolt (semi-retired)
Spider-Woman II (retired)
Spider-Woman I (retired)
Scarlet Witch (In a coma?)
Crimson Curse (presumed dead)
Scarlet Spider (Felicity Hardy)

Males --

Super Storm (Torus Storm, John and Lyja's son)
Grim (Jacob, Ben Grimm's son)
Wolverine (mostly retired)
Iron Fist (mostly retired)
Cyclops (mostly retired, but trains)
Captain America (fighting in an alternate dimension)
Angry Eagle
Simian
Torque
The Buzz
Earth Sentry
Steel Spider
Freebooter
Thunderstrike II
Stormtrooper (Thunderstrike I from an alternate dimension)
Doc Magus
Speed Ball
Doc Strange
Namor
Human Torch
Hulk
J2
Darkdevil
Green Goblin
Nova
Big Man
Spider-Man (Gerry Drew)
Mainframe ("male" disposition)
Hawkeye (retired, but training)
The Thing
Argo the Almighty
Stunt Man
Hercules
"Fred"
Thor (ruling Asgard)
Big Brain / Mr. Fantastic
Spider-Man (Peter Parker, retired...for now!)
Silver Spider (Mentioned only. Same person as Steel Spider?)
Ant Man II (Stinger's dad)
Tony Stark / Iron Man (retired, but still building robots)

I'm probably forgetting someone ...

Oh, for the guys, there's also ....

Doc Doom (Kristoff Vernard)
Kaine (I think he's a hero)
Quickwire (not really a hero, but he's a part of Agent Wheadon's group)

Peter does get into costume again in the LHS arc, but now my question is this, was that the original Hulk in the latest issue? Thanks Jaroker for dropping Gerry Drew's name, 'cuz i forgot it! Did he ever beat that diease he had?

Yeah, that was the original Hulk. From an old issue of A-Next, Bruce is settled down with a family now.

No sweat about Gerry. No idea what's up with him now. He hasn't been mentioned since he disappeared. Maybe Tom's saving him for something. :)

Speaking of LHS, have you guys seen the First Looks? Not much in way of spoilers, though. It just has everything that was mentioned in the previews.

Thanks again Jarkoer for the link! Wow, that was the original Hulk huh? No wonder the Omega Skrull dispatched him easily, i was never a huge fan of the Banner Hulk persona, and we all see why- he's not much of a brawler, just a talker! Anyway, i do hope that Tom brings back Gerry Drew, he was a pretty cool character, a tad on the vain side, but cool nonetheless. Since you and Jeffers have the hook up with communicating with Tom, ask him he'll ever appear again, and if May will ever discover that her best friend, (Davida), is secertly one of the Ladyhawks? Will Kaine re-emerge? Aw man don't get me started, i got a million questions!!

Damn, this arc is gonna be weekly, which- of course is a comic collectors' dream, to be able to get the new issue every week, but i'm broke!!! LOL! I don't know how i'm gonna manage getting every issue, but never one to doubt my own cunning nature, i'll find a way! I ALWAYS do! I can't wait to read this arc!!!

I plead the 5th. :p

Tom's busy finishing up his 2nd Fantastic Four book this week, but I'll see what he has to say on the board.

So ... when are we gonna discuss #86? Moose is looking really interesting. There's a lot of intense stuff there. And this preview to #89 is looking even more intense! Don't mean to down #87 and #88, but I'm really looking forward to #89!

(Follow it a bit, and there's a First Look for LHS #2 in there. Possibly big spoilers.)

Well Jarkoer, its' just me an' you bud! The discussion for issue 86 starts NOW! Moose is being written extremely well, and with great realism with the dealing of the burden on his shoulders. May proved to be a great friend, and truly exercised the mantra that she lives, "With great power, comes great responsibilty", by being there for Moose in his time of need. I know that this sub-plot in the story was tough for Tom to deal with, but he handled it with compassion, and i really think that a lot of kids that are either going through this, or have friends that, are going to learn something from this character. Now as far as the LHS tie-in, it was a little rushed IMO, and we never see Namor get defeated, just laid out on his back! (LOL!) I will say that the Omega Skrull is in rare form this time around, and makes a very forimable villian. Plus i forgot that the Power Cosimc made Spider-Man the most powerful Marvel superhero at point in time, so i'm intrigued to see how he's going to be defeated by the collection of heroes that have been assembled, and what role May will play in this whole thing. Also- that 5 page preview of the LHS looked good! I almost thought that the "thing" Dormagmus went up against was, SPOLIERS!!!- Normie!! I could be wrong though, but my gut tells me it's him!! He definitely is up to no good! Only time will tell!
