Comics Doesn't anyone else read Spider-Girl??

Side-Kick?? All that hard work, and i've been reduced to a "Side-Kick" again? I like what they've done with the place, but what's up with the downgrade in my status?? Malice, you're fired! Jeffers, you're hired! (LOL!)

First of all, pick up the digest. Normie appears as the Goblin in the very first story.

He makes another appearance sometime around issue 20 or so. I'm sorry for not looking it up. Great story, though. He tries to kidnap Mary Jane and that doesn't go as well as he planned.

The pivotal issue is No. 27 (in my opinion, the best Spider-Girl issue) where Normie has Spider-Girl, who has lost her powers, tied to a chair the entire issue and threatens to end the Parker-Osborne feud. And he does, just not how he expected.

After that Normie is pretty much a regular supporting character. Mayday has a thing for him, but he's too old for her. He's also in love with Brenda Drago, AKA Raptor (another reformed villain). This "wife" popped up a few issues ago.

That showdown issue of Spider-Girl v. the Goblin was a nail-bitter! I don't think that Normie even knew that May was powerless still, but that issue was really suspenseful because it took a very unexpected turn after another. But i really never got the feeling that Normie was, or is in love with Brenda. I think that he went into the relationship as a way to symbolize the new path he was taking in life, after ending the Parker-Osborn fued, and being that Brenda showed interest in him- he was probably like, "Hey, why not?" But that's my take on it.

That sounds pretty interesting, but let me ask this question: How can a villian like Electro, with his unique powers, retire?? But it has been a long time that a Spider-Girl issue really involved Peter, so i'm looking forward to seeing how this one'll play out. Wonder if it'll be a one-short, or two part story....

Just bought issue #27. Fantastic stuff. Oh MAN. Great stuff, but I noticed something on the most recent issue, that Sal Buscema worked on the issue. It says he did "finshed art" Just what does that mean? I'm a HUGE fan of his work and now that I see him working on Spider-Girl I must know-- how long has be been working on this series and seriously, what is "finshed art" cause they got pencils and colors down by other people.

^_^;; Lord, I'm such a damn newbie with this Spider-Girl stuff, but it is fun.

now that i am in school i don't have time to post as often. my avatar is Colossus from the cover of Astonishing. the colors are inverted. i hate that this month is longer than others. i have to wait longer for my Spider-Girl.

About Spider-Girl, I will say I was very pleased with the last issue and that I hope we're done with the black costume for now. The more I see it the more I don't like it.

As far as the avatars go, i was never sure about 'em, meaning i was never aware that you had to post so many times before you were allowed to have one. I just noticed that CK's avatar was gone, maybe it has something to do with all the changes they've made around here in the past few weeks, i don't know, but they did demote me- title wise, as well as others (Jeffers). We might have to holla at the Moderators' to get some answers! On another note, i have to make it to the comic shop real soon, or i'm gonna snap! (Just like everyone else, i'm working and doing the school thing too!) I can't wait to get up to speed!!

Maybe you didn't notice the new rules when these boards were updated. They said that certain things (signatures, avatars, custom titles) can only be done after a certain amount of posts. I need 300 posts to create an avatar, 100 to create a signature (which I did), and I don't remember how many for custom titles. Since you have over 1,000 posts Blaque, you can do most things on this site now. I also heard it takes 5,000 posts to get a 75X75 avatar (gasp!).
