Comics Doesn't anyone else read Spider-Girl??

Thanks for the link Auntie May! Wow, even though this is his opinion about the best comic story in 2003, for Spider-Girl to head that list is huge! Looking back, it was a very dramatic, and well written arc (Season of the Serpent)- which was also pivotal in another sense too, being it was Pat Ollife's last arc as the penciler on the book. This book has come a very, very, very long way, and yet- it has so much more to go!

::waves to everyone:: :)

I absolutely love the new colorist they have on the book. I briefly dropped the book before this arc came up, but now I'm kind of regretting that I did. This arc, so far, has been great!

I like seeing May back in her black costume, it's a shame that she didn't just keep wearing it. I would of liked to have seen her continue with the slightly grey path she was on. But everything didn't come together like I thought it would.

In anycase, May versus Venom is a must get. I hope we see May remember that she has more powers then just her old man, we never see her pull out her unique powers enough. She could be a real threat if she learned to use them well.

Some stylized Spider-Girl art at Deviant Art. :)

Soooooo does May's spider-sense work on Venom, or is it like her dad's where Venom can cancel it out? I can't really tell and I don't remember from their first meeting so if anyone wants to take a stab at it, feel free.

May's spider sense works with Venom because she never bonded with the symbiote like her dad did.

Welcome back "Merc with Mouth"! You've been sorely missed, and as always, it good to read your comments in regards to Spider-Girl. This arc is really good right now, with all the elements that make a great story. And you're right Zen- Venom doesn't truly know the extent of Mays' abilities, (which are very seldom seen in the book, and used at that!)- which could really save her butt right about now! I'm starting to think that Venom may try to attach itself to May as the ultimate revenge for Peter rejecting it years ago. It might not happen, but it could go there if Tom so chose to go there- think about it for a second, the next arc could be A-Next, the F5, and Peter trying to save May from the symbiote's attempt to bond with her. Where's Kaine? I hope he shows up in this arc!

Okay, after reading that 4 page SPOILER- i have to say that i can't wait 3 more days!!
Also, i couldn't really make out all the things Venom was saying to May during their battle, so i'm happy i'm still SOMEWHAT oblivious to what's been said! I can't wait to see what happens when Doc Strange and Dormagus enter the soul of Darkdevil, and the battle going on in there! Hoo-boy! Too much goodness goin' on in this issue, but i hope there's a finality to one of the on-going sub-plots- Phil vs. Fury! Phil can't handle Fury.

Oh yeah, i forgot to mention that the cover for issue 84 is BADASS!!! Ron is doing a great job with penciling Venom, and again- Zen is right, the colorist deserves props too!!

I've started reading Spider-Girl again. I picked up the first issue of the current arc last week and hopefully I can find the second soon. The third comes out Wednesday I believe.

Huh.

Surprised this hasn't been said already:

There's a new MC2 book coming. Its a mini-series written by TOM D. Its called "Last Hero Standing".

Thats right. Marvel are making a new MC2 comic.

Who'd have thunk it?

What's it about, and welcome back! (I just recently got back as well:o)

I haven't read Spider-Girl in a bit, but I have a stack of them piling up (as I still buy it monthly :) )

Alright guys, before i go to school i'll be picking up my copy of the latest issue of Spider-Girl!! Please don't wait for to put up any SPOILERS about the issue, because afterschool, i'll be heading in to work too- so i won't be back online until later this evening. Themanofbat- you gotta get up to speed! You're missin' out on all the fun!! What up Zen- i see ya!

Welllll the new issue had an unexpected twist at the end there, which opens up some nice new story ideas for
Normie

I really enjoyed the new issue. I personally thought that the ending was kind of corny, in a way...but it does lead to some interesting plot developments. Phil Ulrich is THE MAN! Too bad they didn't stick with some of these characters int he regular Spidey universe.

Y'all won't believe that my comic store didn't get Spider-Girl in yet!! AARRRGGHHH!!! But- i do believe she has 'em in stock today, so i'm gonna mozzie on down today, and pick up my comics on this glorious Birthday of mine! I'll report back later!
