Need i say more...?

I hear ya knockin', but ya can't come in. :-D

Temp job with weird hours, and fighting a Tom impersonator on a message board had me distracted for a bit.

#88 was a good action story. Franklin didn't hog the spotlight as much as he did in #87, but he got the brass ring at the end. Good adventure! The two side-stories (comprising all of two pages all together) really got me interested in what's going to happen down the road. If Elan tries to claim her stakes in Normie and if he goes after Spider-Girl, I think Brenda is -- one way or the other -- going to end up really hurt.

Exactly, and just to point out that Brenda does know there's been a change in Normie since the Venom incident, but being that she's still new to villian/hero thing, she can't quite put her finger on it yet. If anyone's going to be hurt, it's going to be poor May, and i can't think of how much pain it will cause her too, being that she believed in Normie from the start. That's exactly what the symbiote/ Normie is playing off, May's naivte, and trusting demeanor- a weakness she's inheirted from her father, as well as the powers of a human spider. Speaking of power, Normie should be more powerful than Venom was, being that he also has the Goblin serum in his system too. Tom has been patiently setting the stage for Spider-Girl's biggest challenge since Season of the Serpent! And i'm hoping that it will be as big as i know it can be!

Maybe the Normie Symba Goblin is what is being set up for in the big issue 100...hmmm

Welcome GwenStacy65! That could be a possiblity, if it weren't already revealed that Normie is supposed to be confronting Phil in an upcoming issue soon. But who knows? Why not save the big confrontation until Spider-Girl's landmark 100th issue? As a matter of fact, that's sounding really good....

Real cute C. K. ! I don't think that Normie will look like Venom anymore, now that he seems to have total control of the symbiote, a la Cletus Kassidy. He may look like the Green Goblin, but probably bigger, and without the goblin garb. I wish i could draw a sketch to give you an example of what i'm envisioning. But i've got a feeling that he definitely WON'T look like your example! (LOL!)

I've also been posting my views about Normie over at Comicboards.com/Spider-Girl. For you new guys here, that's THE Spider-Girl hang-out! Tom D. even spends time there with his busy schedule an' all, just to answer a few questions, and update us on what's going on with Spider-Girl, upcoming projects, and what not. Drop by there if ya get the chance.

Tell Tom to come here :p The other forum format there is not easy on my eyes :D

I actually picked up some of the Spider-Girl issues. It has potential, but i stoped reading.I did not like where it was going.

How many did you read? It is actually one of the better books out there.

I have issues 71-75,and assorted issues previous to 68.Its not that the story did not turn me away,it was the art.If the put New Avengers artists onto Spider-Girl,i would buy it again,no question.

You didn't like the art??? I loved it! I love how Olliffe draws May. But the story is really what makes the book shine. But I can see your point about not enjoying the book if you don't like the art. Some of the stories were ruined for me when different artists came in and made May look goth

I have to agree with you there! When i first went to the site, i was expecting something similiar to this site's format, but i was wrong! It's all good though, and the person to ask that question to would be our very own resident poster, jakoer! I'm just the man, sitting next to the MAN!

Thanks for sharing your opinion Jourmugand, and welcome to the HYPE! Though you may not read the title anymore, hopefully you'll look out for the interseting twists and turns to come, because there's some good stuff abrewin'!!

I understand you all's feelings about the art. In the begining when Pat left the book, and Ron assumed the penciling duties, a lot of the die-hard fans where commenting on Ron's difference in penciling style. But since then, he's been a lot more consistent, and the fans have also been treated to Pat coming back from time to time, sitting in for Ron at times. Spideywebs is right though, the stories are so good that you can look past the art, if you don't really care too much for it, but the Spider-Girl community have come to embrace Ron, and apprecite his work.

That's funny. I got freaked out by this site's format cuz I was so used to the other format of the message board. Heh! Heh!

Wish I could be of help, but overall Tom's become quieter and quieter. :( I think he only cruises the internet about once a week now and for only a few minutes. That gig as the EIC of CRACKED and that X-Men book that Titan wanted him to write must have started. He's also protective of his e-mail address, and that's something you have to enter to register for this site.

That is true, although he could make a fake e-mail address! It's all good though, i figured that as the summer winded down, he'd be a lot more busy with work- especially as the EIC at Cracked. As a matter of fact, i'm gonna head on over to the message boards, and see if there were any new responses to my questions about Normie...lata gatas!

Does the first person who makes it 100 pages get a prize? :D
That would be a nice incentive, wouldn't it? But unfortunately not, whom ever is the lucky 100th poster will be- will get the satisfaction of knowing that their contribution to this thread has been greatly appreciated, and it'll signify that Spider-Girl will go on to issue 100 and BEYOND! (Hopefully- someone will find a sense of pride knowing that spill.... ;) !)

I dont think Spider-Girl has been to the Main Marvel Universe, has she?

It depends... She was in the past during the first Spider Slayer story but that might be the MC2 version of it. Also some would say (I'm one of them) that the MC2 universe is a possible future of the 616 universe.
