James, "too liberal" means they use it too casually and without a second thought. If this dude were a smart guy, he would've used it correctly and said "too Liberally".

Roach, there can be potholes episode to episode. Doesn't have anything to do with Red Dragon, really. You don't hear, "why build an exhaust port that leads directly to the reactor's core in the first place" followed up with, "hold on, we haven't seen Jedi yet".

I havent seen any plotholes and I usually have an eye for them

This week's episode was excellent, and next week's preview was interesting. Will already starting to suspect Hannibal?

One thing I don't like about Hannibal is that they keep dropping important storylines. Will keeps seeing Hobbes. Why? What happened to Abigail Hobbes? Why was there no mention of the "Ripper" this week? Wouldn't Jack still be obsessed with that case? What about the trainee who's arm was found? None of these things were even adressed in the preview for next week's episode.

Spoilery response:
The preview gives away nothing but Abigail features heavily next week and Will seeing things like Hobbs and his sleeping issues gets more interesting in the next 2 episodes. The Chesapeake Ripper will tie into the Hobbs stuff next week. I'll spoil it if I say too much.

Non-spoilery answer: Those questions will be answered very soon.

Yea when I asked him what he meant about the gore I said Dexter and True Blood are way gorier than this show. And I asked him about what plotholes he's talking about and he just didn't respond.

You've seen them?

I have been wondering what the hell they've been doing with Abigail. Guess she's just been in the hospital or whatever

in my opinion everyone in this show is amazing...Hugh Darcy does the best crazy person struggling with their own darkness I have ever seen. At times I wonder if he's not acting and needs help but no one will stop the cameras.
Mads plays Hannibal like a Great White Shark...you know he is around but the moment you don't keep your eyes on him he's gonna kill you.
You know it's funny, I'm actually liking Red Dragon less after watching this show. Dancy just totally blows Norton out of the water as Will.

I think Darcy is the weakest aspect of the show, TBH. He's not likable and the show desperately needs someone to be.

why does everyone keep calling him "darcy " ? you all do realize that's not how it's spelled right ?

I love the whole cast I think Dancy is great as will

Yeah I think Dancy is great. Between him, Mads and Fishburn we have three great leads.

Yeah, I don't find him unlikable at all. Awkward and occasionally prickly, sure, but not unlikable.

I keep getting scared every time there's a new message in this thread in case someone has brought bad news.

In the Bulgarian news (the Hollywood segment), they just announced that the show was renewed by NBC!!!

Is this true? I don't find it anywhere?

^
I hope the show gets renewed. I've been enjoying it. I had my doubts at first but each episode has been good thus far.

Maybe it is only being renewed in NBC Bulgaria. :(

LOLOL :woot: You are bad.

But actually Bulgaria airs "Hannibal" via AXN channel which is one of the international distributors or something to this extent, I believe? Maybe it was leaked by somebody from AXN? Don't know. Hopefully we hear a confirmation soon.

I think he's great myself. I wouldn't want to see him replaced. :)

I don't really get all the panic, doom, and gloom. So NBC cancels it? That's no problem. Amazon and a cable channel have already shown interest in picking it up for season 2. So the worst case scenario is it just changes channels. Personally, I'm hoping NBC lets it go so it can remain safe with the cable channel that wants it. To me, that would be the best scenario and an improvement because it would mean we wouldn't have to worry about a season 3 and the cast and crew can continue on with things laid in stone rather than up in the air.

I'm waiting for NBC to let go, and hopefully soon, because it would be harder to switch channels if NBC holds on for too long.
