Dr. Lecter Invites you to Dinner. The ''Hannibal'' Thread - Part 2

I will agree that I get the impression that they don't really seem to care if they get the rights to Clarice. They at the very least don't seem to worried about it

I wonder if they are allowed to introduce the character of Ardelia Mapp to any post-SOTL storyline. She's a potentially fascinating character that is kind of only a background player in the books. An FBI agent who Clarice once described as the second-smartest person she knows next to Dr. Lecter would be very interesting to have on the cast.

2 minutes in, and I'm going to throw up. Thanks Bryan!

Was that the other female FBI agent in the SoTL movie?

Edit: Never mind. Just checked on Wikipedia, it was her. I really like the idea of having another character on the show that Clarice holds in such high regards like that. Especially with her considering her almost as smart as Hannibal himself

Rarely can a show make me squirm, that was a tough scene peeling away from the group of people. The preview next week shows that Hannibal will kill again to create doubt that Will did it, which I thought may happen. After True Detective this is the best show currently on TV and after Sunday it will be the best.

This was a great episode. Outstanding in a show that is in itself outstanding. Loved Hannibal peeping through the silo roof.

And I'll admit to being on the same plain as Shifty. It's takes a lot (like, a lot) to give me the heebie jeebies, but that opening scene had me shuffling in my seat.

I had to look away. That was horrific.

Another great episode. I really thought Bedelia was about to be a goner, so good for her getting the hell outta there before Hannibal could get to her. May have been the smartest thing anyone's done on this show yet, lol.

So, who's up for osso buco tonight? Anybody?

Hannibal Lecter's favourite film is Soylent Green and his favourite band is Fine Young Cannibals.

Hahaha as soon as Hannibal was peeking his head in the top of that silo I was saying to myself "I bet he's just gonna say 'hello'" I busted out laughing so damn hard when he actually said it. Such a great episode

Another engrossing episode, as always.

The opening scene was gruesome even by this show's standards. I continue to be surprised they get away with this stuff on NBC.

I liked the subplot with Hannibal and the other killer, and with Hannibal and Bedelia. I thought Bedelia was a goner for a minute there.

Intriguing to see how Hannibal now the one getting played by Will. Or does Hannibal know he's being played? I think Will is gambling that Hannibal's fixation with him is his fatal weak spot, because God knows Hannibal doesn't have many of them.

Will and Beverly had what was probably an intentional slight Hannibal/Clarice vibe for a minute there. Interesting to see roles reversed and Will now in the traditional Hannibal role of the "murderer" helping the investigations from prison. I have the feeling Will might be getting Beverly in danger by having her search for the truth on her own.

Yea and the bit with Hannibal having to stand behind the line was an awesome role reversal from Red Dragon. Was I reading it correctly that Hannibal went to Dr Du Maurier's house to kill her but she had already left? That's what it seemed like

Yea, I just wasn't 100% on whether or not that was her house. I figured it was though cuz of the couches n whatnot. I'm actually kinda glad she got away. For some reason though, I have this feeling that Dr Bloom will not make it outta this season alive. I bet Jack does but he's just left for dead or something ala Will in Red Dragon

The characters I'm most concerned at this point are Alana Bloom, Beverly Katz, and Bedelia du Maurier (if we even see Bedelia again).

Now that you mention it I could see Beverly not making it out. I'm very concerned about Alana though. It would definitely be the most devastating death for Will

Also, I totally called that dude was an opiate addict. As soon as he woke up I said "Awww ****! This killer done grabbed a junkie!" Lol

The numbers for NBC’s Hannibal Season 2 took a grim turn this Friday night, dropping 21 and 27 percent from the premiere to 2.6 million total viewers and a 0.8 demo rating.
****ing Hell, people! :argh:

I was a little surprised that Bedelia would take the risk of going to Hannibal to tell him things are over, what with her knowing how dangerous he is. But at least she was smart enough to get the hell out of dodge afterwards.

Beverly Katz is totally dead by the end of this season. I see her getting too close to Will for Hannibal's liking.

Pffft... "after". :o
