I think it's the other way around. Will Graham is the one guy who can get the upper hand on Hannibal Lecter, all he ever needed was the intention to do it. Now that Will's fired up to take Lecter down, the cannibal doesn't stand a chance.

I think they both are intellectual equals. Hannibal won last time because Will didn't know he was playing a game. Will's going to win this time because Hannibal thinks that he's won and is now focusing on restoring his friendship with Will.

Yup. His mind has been so screwed up the last few seasons, that it was easy for Hannibal to toy with him. Now that he's operating with a sense of clarity, all bets are off.

The show had a lot of interest from other networks/services when its renewal was delayed last year. I think the show will continue after Season 2, it's just a question of whether it will continue with NBC.

Yeah, I don't think it's actually going to get "cancelled" per se. We'll see if NBC is dumb enough to drop it though.

It's good to see that there is seemingly a lot of interest for the series if it doesn't get renewed (which I would hate, but for a network standard, the ratings aren't anything special, unfortunately). I'm hoping for a renewal, though. Even nowadays with the digital plane redefining a lot of stuff, a show getting revived past a cancellation is still a rarity.

They're not mistreating Hannibal. Everyone looks at the weekly numbers and automatically jumps to "OMG the numbers are bad, NBC is going to cancel this, **** YOU NBC, HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO US?!?" Guess what? The numbers weren't great last year either. But here we are. They gave us a second season, when most networks wouldn't have. There are other factors beyond just the number of viewers that are keeping this show afloat. Lets not jump to conclusions with NBC here.

Well, it's just irritating for the fans to have to wait so long for a renewal, I guess. I mean, the show still hasn't been renewed for its third season, and I guess it won't be for a little bit longer. We're already more than halfway into the season, so it's easy to get impatient. The reactions are understandable. It's better to see people passionate about the show to an almost annoying degree than to have general apathy. Though it probably should be kept in mind that the show didn't get renewed for a second season until episode 10 of the first season, so yeah.
