If Lifetime's "Clarice" ever makes it the the schedule they would love to have half the numbers Hannibal got in the live viewing.

2011 Sawyer knew they would do something to **** it up.

The quality is top notch, so there's that, but the way they've handled things... :o
It wasn't a tough prediction to make.

Ok, I have a question:

- I had thought the copycat in the field was the only Hannibal victim....but what about the one with the liver that was cut out and then put back in because the meat was bad?

Did Hannibal account for more of the murders than I thought? Or was Hobbs a cannibal too?

I think the implication was that Hobbs was also a cannibal.

The breakfast scene last night has given me a real sausage craving. Surely that can't be a normal reaction...

It did look pretty tasty.

If you ignore that they were probably really eating lungs.

Hey, I'm open minded... :o

I'd totally do it. And by that I mean knowingly consume human flesh. Out of curiosity more than anything. The only thing that freaks me out is what if you developed a craving for it? That would worry me lol

Oh thank God I'm not the only one. I felt like I had the whole Hype side-eyeing me in the Confession thread before.

Lmao! Nope, everybody can side-eye me all they want. Doesn't bother me. I've always been curious and given the inherent harshness of nature I've honestly never understood why it's so taboo. I mean, if people had been doing it for generations and kuru was a national health concern I could understand but the way people look at it IMO is just very close minded for lack of a better word.

Honestly, I'd give it a try too. I don't want to kill the person, or have any desire to seek it out, but if the opportunity to try some human presented itself, sure, I'd take a bite.

Also, I'm not even a fan of steak but whatever it was Hannibal was eating in his first scene looked fantastic.

Same here. I wouldn't hurt anybody at all. But yea, if somebody walked up to me with a plate like "Heeeyyyy you gotta try this. It's people!" I'd be all like "Ya know, I do gotta try this!" lmao

thoughts on what Hannibal meant when he said Will was the mongoose that ran out of the house when a snake slithers by??

Heh, I have a feeling we'd better prepare ourselves for plenty of uncomfortable "that actually looks really good" moments when it comes to Hannibal's cuisines on this show. José Andrés is the "food consultant." He has a few restaurants here in the DC area, and having frequented a couple of them, speaking from personal experience, the man knows what he's doing. My favorite one of his restaurants closed a couple years ago, but I've never had anything from any of them that didn't look and taste absolutely delicious.

Hahahaha we're in a thread for a tv show where one of the two main leads is a cannibal. I think this thread is gonna end up seeing plenty of these types of conversations.

I addressed it in a post a page or two back. Basically it's like saying Will is afraid of killers due to what they make him feel but because of that it makes him just as if not more dangerous than them. And he knows this, so he sees the killers and feels what they feel and his initial instinct is to hide from that and given some of people's thoughts about Hannibal's motivations I think he is trying to put Will where he needs to be mentally and emotionally

I don't understand how some reviewers say it's left ambiguous whether or not Hannibal is a killer yet. Did they miss the human lungs he was frying up in the kitchen?

Well, since a mongoose is a predator even for deadly snakes, I'd say Hannibal is calling Will a predator that behaves as if he's prey. Hiding from the dangerous, disturbed minds when he's really just as - if not more - dangerous.

:lmao:

What did I just read on this page? Reminds me of Dee and Charlie wanting to try out human flesh, lol.

Him carving up the lungs gave me some heebie-jeebies though, not gonna lie.

Eating lungs just seems bizarre...are they even supposed to be edible??

Those could also have been pig lungs, or some other large mammal. Technically the show never came right out and said Hannibal is a killer-cannibal, just heavily implied it. That said, you'd have to be seriously slow on the uptake to not catch the numerous hints.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. It was pretty obvious that Hannibal was the ''copycat''

You'd have to not be paying a whiff of attention to miss the dead body in the field missing her lungs, intercut with Hannibal frying up some lungs and chowing down.

It wasn't exactly the height of subtlety, right there.

I've never eaten lungs but I've had stuff like liver and lambs heart
