Dr. Lecter Invites you to Dinner. The ''Hannibal'' Thread

Ugh I don't even like thinking about the Verger Incident anymore. Why didn't he just kill him??!! I bet he just got him to a hospital and left him to his fate or something. I mean, Verger did do it to himself and Lecter was a renowned psychiatrist so it wouldn't be hard for a court or judge to believe him over Verger a known rapist/molester.

Not sure if its me...but didn't have a hard time understanding Mads talking in last night's episode lol.

I am so glad I made the rule of not eating while watching this lol

Woops. :woot:

Finally got around to watching the second episode, really enjoyed it. David Slade returns next week to direct!

I'd like to think that Hannibal didn't lay a finger on him. Like with Miggs and Verger, he just talked him into harming himself.

I kind of think Lecter probably tormented Chilton psychologically rather than physically, before killing him. More than anything Chilton was terrified of Lecter, and the fear of pain for a guy like Chilton can be worse than the actual pain itself. Like a sadistic cat, I can see Lecter toying with Chilton for a long time before finally ending him.

"I bet you wish you had fed the rest of me to the dogs now."

"No Mason, I like you just the way you are."

See, now that is the sign of a good therapist: don't judge your client, just accept them as they are. :woot:

I think he left Verger alive to wallow in misery because he despised him and felt he deserved it.

Or he just felt that Verger was too interesting and unique in his depravity to kill so quickly.

I loved that line. Such a kick in the teeth.

...assuming Verger even had teeth.

LOL I didn't even know it was him for the longest time. :p

For some reason, the most disconcerting role Gary Oldman has played in my mind is Smiley from Tinker Tailor. After seeing him in so many chameleonic roles, seeing Gary as a normal Englishman was just so strange. :hehe:

That was Gary Oldman? O_O

I love Oldman, one of the best actors alive, imo.

I really hope Hannibal has more screen time this episode. Don't get me wrong, he's had plenty but... I just need more Hannibal damn it! I can't ****ing wait to see Hannibal let loose. I love how cool, calm and collected he is but if we don't get to see him completely lose his **** at least once this season I'm gonna be a bit let down. This man has to show some real emotion at some point.

I'm betting if we see Hannibal to anything outrageous this season, it'll be in the final episode.

At the moment I'm pretty happy with the amount of screen time he's getting. Hannibal is a better villain the most more because of the ever-looming threat and less because of what he actually does. It's the suspense and the promise of violence to come all wrapped up in a seemingly peaceful, elegant and charming package.

I'm sure everyone in this thread knows the following already, but Hannibal had what? Something like twenty minutes or less of screen time during Silence of The Lambs. That pretty much says it all.

All the previews point to some Hannibal and Abigail Hobbs time tonight. Going be interesting.

Does anyone know if Hulu will have the episode up by midnight?

I get that but this is tv, not film. They HAVE to develop Hannibal a bit more. Plus, if we don't get to see him commit at least a couple of his own murders and serving them up or whatever I'm just gonna be pissed. I'm sure we will though with the Raspail ripoff character. Still surprised Dan Fogler popped up in the premiere. I like that dude, he's funny in everything I've ever seen him in plus, I always heard he was gonna play Sam Kinison in a biopic which would be great

How do I feel about tonight's episode?

I would have paid $12 to see it in a theatre.

I recognized that guy that accused Abigail of killing his sister from Charlie Bartlett. I wonder what else he's been in.

EDIT : umm.... since he's not listed for Hannibal on IMDB , I guess either it wasn't him but someone who looked a lot , a lot, a lot a lot, or.... exactly like him, or imdb needs to update their ****.
