To me this is symbolic about Tomato Meter debates. Fans embrace the tomato score when it's high for a movie they care about, but dismiss the score and critics when it's low.
People want critics to well regard these films. But if they don't, they promptly reject and dismiss the critics. There are four types of movies: universally well regarded, divisive, cult favorites and universally trashed.
Universally well-regarded: RT score 80-100%, these movies are accepted by most to be well regarded
Divisive: 50-79%, these movies are mostly considered average but people often argue about them endlessly.
Cult movies: 0-70%, these movies are considered mediocre to terrible but a small group considers them top level entertainment.
Universally trashed: 0-20%, these movies are considered a complete waste of time by mostly everyone.
I want as many MCU films to be universally well regarded as possible. A pretty reasonable desire if you ask me.

New York Observer was... grumpy.I don't appreciate how it went after the fans.
