My choice also.

after watching Spartacus and most recently Arrow Manu Bennett is my top choice for Drax dude is built like a tank has a very intimating look and a solid actor who is quite a bad ass:woot:

What about Chris Pratt's Zero Dark Thirty co-star Edgar Rameriz?

Isn't Drax suppose to be tall? I don't think Manu is that tall or maybe is because he is stocky that doesn't make him look that tall.

Since we are speaking for Spartacus, my favorite show, Liam McIntyre could be a good choice if he worked out more to look more muscular. Or Dan Feuerriegel also from Spartacus show.

^Yeah, after seeing Manu on Arrow, loved him in it, but is too short for Drax, cant have a Drax shorter than Star-Lord when he is the power house of the team.

The Dothraki guy from Game of Thrones is in talks for Drax.

Looks like Marvel found their guy to play Drax the Destroyer in the upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy.

Jason Momoa who played Conan in the Lionsgate reboot, and is best known for playing Khal Drogo in the first season of Game Of Thrones, flew out to London to screen test on Wednesday. It was reported earlier that Isiah Mustafa, Dave Bautista, and Brian Patrick also tested the role of Drax.

According to sources, Momoa’s screen test went so good that Marvel offered him the part and his reps have now countered, so the negotiations are ongoing.

I believe there were a couple people here saying they hoped Marvel would cast him. Great choice imo.

Very very good choice if true. I loved the guy in Game of Thrones

I think this is great news if Momoa gets the part, he's solid enough to pull it off, Drax doesn't need to be played by a thespian. Plus He has the build, and he can give evil stares like no tomorrow :p.

Dave Bautista?? god hope not.

Momoa is the better choice out of those guys who tested.

Wow. Chris Pratt and Jason Momoa are about to become A-listers. Who would have guessed?

I would not be dissapointed at all if Momoa gets the part, he has the look, the physicality, and he can act when necessary, or he could on GoT anyway. Good choice if he gets it.

One thing though: Would it bother anybody if Jason didn't cut his hair off for the role?

They could just put a cap over his head and put the green make up over it.

I just read he want double pay to play Drax.

Dear Marvel
Just pay the man double, who els ya got :cmad:

If they cgied his hair off, that'd be fine. But Drax needs to be bald.

Just slap a bald cap on him. Or better yet, he could shave his head for charity. There are programs for chemo patients that would love those locks for wigs, if it's long enough.

You can't slap a bald cap over THAT much hair. He's gotta shave it. :o

Then in that case, a bald cap could work.

Or he could shave it, and grow it back to that length in 6 months.

I'm down with Mamoa if he brings his GoT chops, but he's in absolutely no place to demand double pay. So, I don't think that's true.. but if it is, expect him to be cut loose.

Seems pretty standard. Marvel presents an offer, his representatives counter with something more substantial, and they haggle and end up somewhere in the middle.
