I have been wondering what the duration of the movie will be, just look at all of the characters packed into this movie, it seems double of what TDK had, but I could be wrong, and how long was TDK? about 2 hours and a half?

Could this be a 3 hour movie?

Double?

It's about the same guy.

I'll just quote my synopsis of the movie to my friend when he said he wondered what the score would be like the other night.

It's going to be a long round of the song that never ends sung by the entire cast wearing nothing but a batman mask and cape and standing completely still on a stage and it will last an hour and 20 minutes. The hour and 21st minute will be a sign that says "F*** you, this series is rebooting." Roll credits, end.

I'm guessing it will be around the same length as TDK.

TDK was about 2 hours 15 minutes.
I hope this one will be a big fat 2 hours 30 minutes.

I've been getting a big vibe from all the cast and crew interviews that they're attempting to overwhelm us with a film that's bigger and more "epic" than TDK. Zimmer, Pfister, Oldman, Nolan... they've all kind of indicated this. And now the 250 million budget. They all seem pretty more ambitious than any of us were hoping they would be, it wouldn't surprise me if TDKR was over three hours long to correspond with this. After all, this has been permissable with 'epic' movies like ROTK, and i'm starting to get the impression that they're approaching this movie as something of that type of calibre. Hey, we'll see...

I would love to see a 3 hr epic, and weve had every indication so far that theyre headed in that direction

I'm going to guess it'll be around the same running time as TDK.

Nope, this totally diffrent from those LOTR movies. Those weren't epic but boring.

Seriously lol. I remember being in the theater during my first viewing of TDK and begging for another half-hour.

i had exactly the same thing with TDK..
but.. i would love to get a 3 hour movie with TDKR

I think three hours is a bit wishful thinking, but 160 minutes should be do-able. If it is anything to go by (which it isn't but we'll have to entertain ourselves at this point) the Sidney Lumet crime drama ''Prince of the City'' that has been mentioned by Wally Pfister as an influence is about that long. And so is Heat.
Yeah, a pretty pointless post. I just want this ****er to go on forever. That's what I want to say.

I'd be fine with three hours. I doubt the general audience would. Many people I know who saw it said it was too long. We are a generation of ADHD sufferers apparently

2 hours and 25 minutes, Carmine. Without credits. :awesome:

I'm think it will be around the same length. Definitely longer than BB.

But what the hell is it with thinking these films will be three hours?

It should be as long as it needs to be. Not what people want it to be.

We were both wrong. It's 2 hours 20 minutes, without credits. I just checked that on the DVD :o

Unless you have AN EXTENDED VERSION.

Which would be a perfectly good excuse for me to make sure you will meet your doom. :cmad:

This would be a film I wouldn't mind never ending. Or at least 4 hours or so.
