that is pretty fake though i do like the God of War: AfterFall rumour
A PS4 wont be released anywhere in the near future. Possibly not for at least another 3 years. It would be foolish to wait that long for another handheld. The PSP is an aging handheld and will pretty much be dead by then. It came out in 2005 and I really cant see them dragging it out till at least 2013
IA on the connectivity. Im disappointed that Sony dropped the ball on that bc the few games that did feature it, I thought were done well, especially the Resistance games.

I dont think the PS2 will be discontinued just yet. It still sells relatively well
While software does make money, thats more of a concern when a console is first launched. The PS2 has far passed the point where Sony makes a profit on every console sold. They can sell systems without ever selling a game for it and they still make money, enough so that its worth keeping in production. It costs Sony little to nothing to keep the PS2 around and they arent throwing large chunks of money into develoment of titles for it so its not like its keeping resources away from the PS3My thinking on that is that while it does still sell well, it also prevents a small group from still upgrading to a PS3. Well prevents is a bad way to put it. I guess I just mean that while the PS2 does still sell around 20k or so consoles a week, it's not exactly a software pusher which is where Sony makes more money at. If ppl are still buying PS2's rather than upgrading to a PS3, why not put PS2 games on the Playstation store and discontinue the PS2. It met it's 10 year life span, end it on a high note, and then say if you still want to play PS2 games, you can, but on a PS3. It'll lead to more PS3's sold when that last bit of PS2 owners that refuse to upgrade see the console discontinued.
I mean it's not like anything significant is going to see a software release on the PS2 anytime soon. Why drag it out until it'll only selling a few thousand a week. It's not like it was earlier this gen where the PS3 was selling bad and PS2 sales were absolutely needed. Now the PS3 is turning a profit, selling very well, and it's the PS2 that's almost off the radar sales wise.
Anyway that's just IMO. I can see both sides, and can understand why they would keep the PS2 alive. I'd just personally rather see it see a definitive cut off date and see a proper sending off than fade into obscurity over the next years as sales flatline.
I really dont think it would be any different than having to rebuy PS1 games on there or even worse with PSP games on the GoPS2 Store does sound nice but a lot of people would be mad if they have to re buy games wouldn't they?
PSN Premium will be revealed at E3: http://atp4life.ning.com/profiles/blogs/psn-premium-set-to-debut-at-e3
yeah I'd consider that as well. Id have to wait and hear what the other features areIf this is true, and that's a big big if since this is still only a rumor, I would pay for the service. A free game every month, without taking any features we have for free sounds good to me
Sources tell us that subscribers will have access to a rotating list of PSP Minis and PSone Classics, exclusive in-game DLC, discounts to the PlayStation Store and "first hour" demo access to full retail titles. Following the first hour of gameplay, players will have the ability to purchase the full title; however, demo access will only be available once the entire title has been downloaded.
As PSN+ subscribers, gamers will also receive protection for their consoles with the recently announced PlayStation Protection Plan, as well as exclusive access to the long-awaited cross-game voice chat. Additional features are said to be in the works following the launch of PSN+, including the previously rumored cloud-based saving system.
Joystiq has been informed that PSN+ subscribers will also have the ability to enable an auto-patching feature, which will detect, download and install updates for recently played PS3 titles on the system.
Pricing and a release for the PSN+ service is unknown, though one source speculates PSN+ may cost $9.99 per month.
