So there wasn't anything outside of the teaser for Colonial Marines, correct?
I think the Wii U is a step in the right direction, but Nintendo needed to jump. I mean the PS3 doubles up as a gaming and Blu-ray player and Nintendo is barely playing catch-up at this point. But aside from the controller, it's not really doing much to standout against the competition.
They're going to have an uphill battle with that controller for hardcore gamers. They'll probably never convince FPS gamers at all with that thing.
I guess the concept of not having to pause the game to look at my inventory, or no need for an onscreen mini-map could be interesting. It's still a dice roll.
Hey, just so you know, the Wii U plays much better than u think. This is a pretty damn cool system. I will be interested to see what happens, but there is a ton of potential in what I played.
You know, now that I think about it, that's not really a word you hear very often anymore with video games; Fun.A buddy of mine that's at E3 (produced the Nintendo show) said that he tried the WiiU and that it is actually pretty darn fun.
Here's his message...
It's funny how people trash FPS like CoD and how much attention those games get, when back in the day, the only real MP FPS around was Goldeneye, and even then more people played because of the multiplayer.
But personally FPS are not my thing and never have been. But I do think they need to do something innovative with them.
Maybe on console. Not on pc.
Shooting people in a video game and kicking ass and taking names as Batman isn't fun???You know, now that I think about it, that's not really a word you hear very often anymore with video games; Fun.
I mean, when I think of the great games that I've played like Uncharted or Batman, or even inFamous right now, I don't think I can describe them as fun, but rather entertaining or engaging. But I think that's one thing Nintendo has always managed to do, and that's to make games feel fun.
As impressive as that games looks, I've never heard of it before and of course it's because I'm not a PC gamers. And yes, I meant in terms of consoles.Maybe on console. Not on pc.
They do have innovative games, you probably just aren't playing them.
Here's 1500 dynamic and unscripted AI fighting in a 225km enviroment.

Point blank, Nintendo creates **** that just LOOKS like fun. MS and Sony tries to make their stuff all edgy and dark and cool and ironically hip, which is what their advertisements always stress, but Nintendo is basically going the amusement park route.
