E3 2011 - Part 2

The most mature franchises that Nintendo owns are Zelda, Metroid, and if they decide to bring it back in a big ass way, F-Zero. Those first two could easily be M-rated if they decided to go that route, but that won't ever happen beacuse I don't think they need to.

Yeah I dont think Metroid or Zelda should be M rated but I think those 2 could be those hardcore franchises if they ever wanted to make them that way

Metroid could go "M", and it'd make sense I think.

Zelda seems like it'd just be for shock value or pretty forced to get an "M". The violence would have to be really intense. I think a hard "T" makes more sense for Zelda.

The thing about casual gamers is that you can't rely on them entirely, because they can drop you quick. With Microsoft making progress int hat market as well, and now they're focus on the casual market with Kinnect, Nintendo isn't the only one in that race anymore. The hardcore market can be counted on, or so I've heard, because it's believed that they will drop the cash for those hardcore games. Everytime.

Plenty of people have bought the Kinect, but like the Wii, very few people are buying much software for it.

As exaggerated as it is, Nintendo honestly did seem like the only company that wasn't trying to sound desperate to push something.

I really have zero interest in Kinect or Move.

I play games to relax........not flail my body around. If I want to exercise, I'll exercise.

Move doesn't require flailing. Not anymore than the Wii does at least.

I'd beg to differ.

I recommend for everyone to watch the interview with Geoff Keighley seemingly the only journalist left in the video game industry who actually throws hard questions that we want to hear.

Wasn't Nintendo desperately trying to push the 3DS, especially after Sony just went and introduced their new handheld competition?

Wow...just saw the launch trailer for the Wii U. .......that looks horrible. What the heck happened to Nintendo???

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't give a **** about the Vita.

I dont care about Vita. I used to
But it's too big for a portable advice to me

I was actually more impressed by certain games than any of the hardware. I'm quite content with my PS3, more than I've ever been with my wii, so as long as I have more games to look forward with that, I'm more than satisfied sticking with what I have already. Heck, my PSP broke about a couple of years ago and I never felt the need to replace, so I don't think I'll start now.

Not going to get the Vita or the 3DS. So both Nintendo and Sony failed on that part to grab my attention. Although for some reason I do want to get a DS Lite to get all the Pokemon DS games as I've been playing a crap load of Ruby and Fire Red on my GBA.

Best thing about this E3 was the AAA games and the possibilities of the Wii U despite the horrible way Nintendo went about in presenting it.

Haha, I borrowed my nephew's DS Lite a few weeks ago to play Pokemon HeartGold after finally getting around to playing Leaf Green on my GBA. He actually told me I could keep his since he spends most of his time now playing CoD and has completely moved away from Nintendo games, but there aren't that many other games that I would want to play on it.

I'm being cautious about the Vita. I had high hopes for the PSP, and got burned bad by it. Now the Vita, basically the PSP2, is getting the exact same hype the PSP did. History could repeat itself.

Far as I know, the Kinnect has been a success for Microsoft. It's why they focused so much on it at this E3. They're grabbing at the once Nintendo-only casual market.

I was looking at the recap of the Nintendo conference over at Giantbomb...and they made some great points over there. The confusion some had over what the Wii U was exactly, since all they showed was "The New Controller"...and didn't even mention the new, clearly still in the design process, box that powers everything. What appeared to be an HD version of what a Zelda could look like rendered on the Wii U...it'd had been nice to see something like that of they're other first party titles.

I've also seen more of the Ubisoft conference. Mr. Caffine...what the ****??
